Roma, Inter, Lazio, Milan, Napoli, all won their first game games. Except Milan all have new managers. Yet we failed to beat Empoli and Udine. Some people i wont call their names (@Post Ironic ) still defend Allegri. 5 points dropped in first two games are on him.
You can’t blame him for the udinese result, that was entirely on Tek with 2 unbelievable brain farts.

The empoli game Allegri got it very very wrong with a chancey lineup and then he rolled the dice but seemed to make very strange changes that made little difference (Chiesa and Cuads subs as an example).

while we’re watching the other teams play with a new coach buzz and enjoying new systems at Juve we still seem very disjointed. There’s a cancer in the mentality of these players and it’s spreading fast.

I said it earlier and I repeat again Allegri needs to find his best 11 and stick like hell to it until these players get some confidence and consistency, it needs to be drilled, they’re not good or talented enough to deal with constant change. The problem is finding that best lineup as we have some very very poor footballers in this team. The one I think we need to go with is this, week in week out with the same 11 until it gets through their thick skull what their responsibilities are:

Tek
(Perin)
Danilo (Defensive) - Bonucci - De Ligt - Sandro
De Sciglio - Rugani - Chiellini - Pellegrini
Locatelli - Rabiot/Signing
Bentancur - Ramsey
Cuadrado - Dybala - Chiesa
Kulusevski - Fagioli - Berna
Kean
Morata
Only sub off and on the players that actually play that role and don’t change things. In Allegri’s first stint he inherited a very well coached and drilled team that was able to adopt his creativity - this team as as far away from that as they could possibly be. I hope he can see what needs doing, I really hope he can - it’s been a disappointing start to his tenure but he can turn this round

I don't see Allegri playing 4-2-3-1. Plus I don't think we'd use a formation where we have Ramsey, McKennie, Bentancur and Rabiot/Pjanic all benched.

I like that lineup/setup, though, but we'd need to have some beast DM next to Locatelli in order for that to work imo.

I think we're getting Pjanic which means us using 3 man mid.

This was always going to be a transitional year. Far too many poor decisions have been made over the past 3 or so years, so it will obviously take quite some time to fix things.

Still, losing at home to Empoli is not & should never be acceptable.

I wish all the games we play we see these benched. Also Alex Sandro with them would be cherry on top.

I find the lack of outrage after the Empoli defeat very alarming. I know it's only the start of the season, but a while back, this kind of defeat would've generated a much stronger reaction from both fans and players.

It's not like I love seeing them play. But imo it's just unrealistic to happen. We have so many of them I'll find it strange and surprising if we end up using 2 man midfield. But Locatelli next to any of those wouldn't work imo. Would work if we had previous Vidal or Radja, or Kante.

I'm not liking it. I think we'll see 3 man midfield and two of them are going to be Locatelli and Pjanic.

If we play 4-3-3 we need 2 capable players next to Locatelli. Same applies if we play 3-5-2. If we can go 3-4-3 then you only need 1 CM next to Locatelli so I'd try that.

Yeah that’s the problem, I think whatever we do with the midfield is going to be less than ideal though because we just don’t have the quality. If we put 3 in there then we’ve got to take either Dybala, cuadrado or Chiesa out a 433 also doesn’t really suit our players as Dybala can’t play in a 3 up front.

If we did 352 then we still have the same issues in that we then have to put a 3rd CB in and the likelihood then of seeing Rugani on the field increases exponentially particularly with Chiellini only being able to play 90 mins a week.
