Report: Allegri told Agnelli to sell Ronaldo

Former Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri reportedly advised patron Andrea Agnelli to ‘get rid of’ Cristiano Ronaldo. ‘He’s blocking the growth of the team’.
La Repubblica claims Allegri left a piece of advice to the President before he was sent away.
“Get rid of Ronaldo, he’s blocking the growth of the team and the club,” the former coach told the patron, according to the newspaper.
Juventus has won eight Scudetti in a row and Ronaldo was aiming to add to his already five Champions League trophies between Manchester United and Real Madrid.
But the report claims the scenario has changed from being ‘the deal of the century’ for Juventus to almost become ‘a prisoner’ of their star.
Ronaldo’s deal expires in 2022, but Calciomercato.com reports the forward will meet with the club after the season to discuss the future.
Juventus are, according to the outlet, ready to say farewell to the Portuguese star, but there are a couple of aspects to consider.
There are no concrete offers and there’s a problem with taxes. The report reveals that if Ronaldo leaves Turin, he would be forced to give up the fiscal benefits that only Italy can offer.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The interesting part is that the report comes from La Repubblica which IIRC is 50% owned by Exor.
:panic:.... IMO it makes sense. We tried, we failed, move on

Plus Fabio can do wonders with those extra resources LOL

look Allegri must be the best possible solution we have atm, i agree.
But since we wasted the life time opportunity to get the consecutive title streak and we will not live long enough to have such an opportunity again. Since we wasted Buffon's, Chiellini's and CR7's Last chance to win a CL with us.
Its time for big changed. Agnelli has a deluded twisted vision for a future that leads nowhere. He MUST step down and hang the team to someone else. There is nothing to save from this team anymore. This season was our last chance and he wasted it.
Keeping those players and bringing Max back, all under AA, will recreate the exact same conditions we had when we had to fire Max.
Are you forgeting that the players refused to play and in his Last days here, we were playing as bad, as we do now?
he will remember that and his first action would be to axe those players.
Even if he is given the liberty and the funds to do that, with Paratici and co we can be sure that they will be replaced by weaker players and the end result will be no way closer to CL glory.

Its time for AA to step down and start over!

This is not an implausible story. Could def see Max thinking along those lines.

Allegri was probably right... but to make things clear, it was not the player's fault itself but the "Ronaldo effect" on the team.
