How about actually not tearing his team apart every summer?
This. Sometimes it feels like this is some kind of elaborate psychological torture: whenever the squad comes as close to perfection as possible, it always lose some players without whom it doesn't feel perfect anymore.
And sometimes it even doesn't look like something that really
has to be done, but rather like an additional optimization. As a result, the squad is missing some tiny piece that eventually renders all efforts useless.
It looks like this:
TUZ: Yeah, finally, the squad is perfect.
Marotta: Nah, let's loan or sell some guy for peanuts (since I don't know how to sell for big money anyway). Just to balance the sheets. Not that we really need it, but this is a psychological torture, remember? Haha! By the way, I will eventually spend all those money on ten Hernaneses anyway, just to make you suffer even more.
TUZ: *meltdown*
