You sound upset we won.

Your tears are delicious, autistic child of regret. Maybe you can hire another prostitute to comfort you tonight.

Yep. Not sure how anyone is upset with Allegri. The players were awful in the first half. It's not Allegri's fault when they shut off and can't even make a 5 yard pass.

And then he made perfect subs in the second half and we dominated the last 25 minutes. Cancelo shoots that tap-in, instead of passing, and it's a 3-1 demolition.
He is the one making selection, so the fact that we couldnt string few passes together, no clear idea what to do when in possession and making our first attempt on goal after an hour mark is on him and his selection. He gets praise for subs but the same issue remains. Our midfield is woeful. We have seen it so many times this season, but fortunately we have some outstanding players to get us through even when we could have been 2-3 goals down after an hour into the game. Immobile scoring that 1 on 1 and we would be singing different tune.

We had no clear idea in possession, because our players were passing the ball to the other team before we had any meaningful possession.

At some point, the responsibility falls on the shoulders of the players, when they cannot do the simplest task right. And today it was doing to carelessness and lack of focus.

The one complaint for Allegri is motivating the squad in Serie A matches against minnows, or after all our rivals have a lousy weekend. But that's damn hard to do for any coach, and so our 59 points in 63 games is all that needs mentioning. That's spectacular from Max.

The worst and the best of an Allegri team tonight. No attacking gameplan. Nobody knows what to do and were to run. Then he reads the game perfectly, makes the right subs, and change the game around.

Thats what Im saying. His midfield selection made us look hopeless for most part of the game. If you field Can, Matuidi, Benta, you cant expect either one of them to bring the ball forward, and neither can break out of the pressure. So the ball inevitably goes back to Bonucci, Rugani and they try to pick someone's run. If in addition your wide players dont move well, you become easy to shut down. He made neccesary changes so credit goes to him. Just like the poor first half is on him. It should be clear by now that without Pjanic we need to look for different solutions. We can edge teams in Italy, even when we have a day off, but in the CL this will be difficult bc there isnt such gap in quality in our favor.

It really is something to get this team motivated week on week. Players get grumpy and leave from time to time for different reasons but holding a core together is important, the club finds ways to increase morale, what Allegri does every season is difficult in the modern game with these pampered modern players earning fortunes.

People look at clubs like Liverpool and wank over the style of football and aggressiveness but you have to remember that Liverpool have not won a league title for 26 years and in the last 10 years have won one League Cup. They are desperate for success, the pedal is pressed all the way down and they are riding on a wave of enthusiasm and optimism. Juve have sacks full of trophies and are trying to juggle domestic dominance with a shot at an unpredictable KO tournament, our obsession, despite the denials.

So yes, when you've won 85% or whatever it is of the domestic trophies in the last 7 years then you cannot expect this team to come out and do more than they need to against the bread and butter of the league. With a big lead on 2nd and ludicrous lead on 3rd it's very easy for this team to really become stale and take their eyes off the bigger picture, and at times we do look stale and average, but we've been doing this for a long time now. What Allegri does well is plan across segments of the season, so hopefully with players coming back we can approach the CL games with a freshness and attitude we aren't always going to see in Serie A.

Let's be real though, we're facing Atlético, it's going to be a battle and nothing like what we normally face in Serie A. Comparing this game to those might as well be talking about tennis compared to basketball.

competitive record for the season is what? 26-2-2 ?

competitive record against other Italian sides is 26-2-0?

Max treats Italy with about as much respect as a fleshlight

Our CMs can't receive or give passes in the central areas of the pitch. They can't get between the lines at all. To a certain degree it's their fault but if they're just not capable of these things, what can you do? What kind of team can keep possession just spamming flank play? We're +11 points now. He should consider trying some different setups to see what we can come up with. Maybe we can come up with something better, who knows.

I don't think a player like Matuidi needs motivation. He just cannot control a ball and he is playing right beside Ronaldo. Even a simple thought just to move him to RCM and try Berna a little bit at LCM could be a revelation. Just experiment a bit against minnows.

He did change things up with Berna coming on for Matuidi and playing more as a wide left mid in 4-4-2
