"Dybala? Seeing him play like he did is a pleasure. Maybe he’ll be disappointed because he didn’t score, but he’ll become a truly great player."
Dude is 25 years old but yet he describes him like he is some 18 years old prodigy :lol2:
Even if he did mean that Dybala has only himself to blame.

He's 25 years old and he still acts like an immature brat a lot of times bitching about being subbed or being a pussy in big games.

If he played every game like he did the other night no one would be talking about him like this but he would be fighting for Ballon d'Or with CR and Messi.

Meh. Whatever. People are entitled to their own opinions, even if they are retarded ones.

It's not easy to be playing out of position and not feel frustrated. He's learning and adapting, but it's always easy to blame him because we expect way too much sometimes, which is quite unreasonable.

Look who's talking about him like a talent and a young player now...

Thing is, Dybala is not asked to do anything he can't do. 'Out of position' is just a cheap excuse when in fact all his best games came when he was the driving force of the whole team, coming for the ball, moving all over the place, shooting and creating. Him being 'out of position' doesn't explain his below first touch, weak duel play etc. Position doesn't determine that. If anything in those games those flaws would be even more evident if he played in 'his position' (presuming that's a striker).

Out of position is out of position, not an excuse. Not all players are versatile. He's asked to drop deep and help with defending because of our rather poor midfield. If we had a top quality midfield, he'd be able to operate closer to goal and cause more damage. Also, in spite of all those weaknesses he's managed to score an average of 0.47 goals per game, which is very decent for someone operating out of position and isn't considered the primary goal-scoring option.

What's duel play? Who is fighting or jousting with? I'm assuming you mean dual play :boh: He links up well with certain players. He does have a weak first touch, but when the ball is actually at his feet and he's allowed to operate closer to goal, he does damage. He has a menacing left foot and is probably our best option on free kicks. He does tend to drift in and out of games, but our whole attacking play is disjointed in many games, and I don't think that he's solely to blame. Like I said, if our midfield was better or more reliable, our attacking players would have more freedom to operate closer to goal and do more damage.

No one argues the better midfield part. But goals are not his sole responsibility right now. I just think that a guy with as much talent and as much faith the team has put in him should be a leader every game, should be able to do more than score goals on a consistent basis.

He's not a Messi, Ronaldo Neymar, or even Mbappe. Heck, he's probably not even Aguero, De Bruyne, or Hazard in terms of ability. We expect too much from him sometimes. He's a very good player, but we shouldn't expect him to win games on his own or pull a rabbit out of the hat on every occasion. That's simply not happening.

There's something very wrong with your outlook on players. Taking too much for granted, expecting the moon from most players and turning against them. Players can always do better, but when we're talking of a talent like Dybala I prefer supporting and sticking with him even in bad times because I know what he's capable of.

We should strive to play like 2013/14 Real Madrid. They didn’t control possession but would murder teams on the counter, like when they slapped Bayern 4-0.

If Ronaldo, Benzema, Bale and Di Maria can play on the same pitch together then there should be no reason why Ronaldo, Dybala, Costa and Bernardeschi can’t play together.

The problem (as always) is the midfield. Modric and Xabi Alonso were a complete two man midfield. We don’t have a partner who compliments Pjanic like that. Matuidi isn’t good enough on the ball. Bentancur has talent but is still not on that level. I wish we had Allan.

Of course, another option is to play Can as DM and give Pjanic a free role.

LOL what? Dybala is one of my favorite players ever. Whatever I'm saying it's because he's shown he can be that guy, just needs to be more mature and more consistent. I never turned against him. I'm discussing ways in which I think he can be better, not saying he's a bad player.

People around here are really sensitive about their favorite players. Higuain facts from other day still hurt?

As I said, I love Dybala, I wanted him at Juve since the first time I saw him at Palermo, but ultimately my biggest focus is Juventus, how can the team be better. Dybala may very well be a striker and nothing more but right now he can't play that position for obvious reasons and he still showed he can be super great playing what Allegri's asking of him.

Consistency and reliability are one of the most important qualities any player can have, especially the really good ones. And right now you don't know what you're getting from Dybala game to game. He was great against Sampdoria, then really bad vs Milan and really great vs Chievo. Who knows what we'll get vs Lazio. His start last season was so good not because he scored 13 goals in 10 games or whatever but because he was doing everything the team needed from him. As I said post Chievo, I don't care if he doesn't score a goal rest of the season, but if he plays that way 90% of the time he'll be amazing.

So in conclusion, I really don't think I expect 'the moon' from him. I expect him to be the second best player in the team (as he is talent wise) on a CONSISTENT basis. I want to go into the game knowing we can expect him to be a threat, expect a good performance, not worry if he'll throw a temper tantrum after a below average performance.

Better post although it's clear that when you call him a pussy in big matches (when it's false), you're turning against him. I'm all for constructive criticism this post of yours is fine and valid criticism, he can become more consistent.

Allegri mulls midfield against Lazio

By Football Italia staff

Max Allegri prepares for a “complicated” encounter with Lazio and explains his midfield options amid an injury crisis. “Emre Can has a lot that needs improving.”
It kicks off on Sunday at 19.30 GMT, click here for a match preview.
“This is always a complicated fixture for us. Lazio will try to beat a big club for the first time this season and we hope they don’t manage it against us,” said the Coach in his Press conference.
“Lazio are a very physical side, with good technique. Like Juve, they scored many goals from set plays and above all have plenty of shots on target in their home games.
“They’ll be eager to make up for the defeat to Napoli, whereas we must find our consistency. There’s a very long way to go for the Scudetto and every victory is just one more step towards that final goal.
“It’s always wonderful to play at the Stadio Olimpico, so we are called upon to put in a great performance in every way.”
There are issues to deal with, as Allegri has to reshuffle his Bianconeri side due to injuries, particularly in midfield.
“Joao Cancelo is available again, although he’ll probably only be an option off the bench. Mario Mandzukic and perhaps Sami Khedira will come back against Parma. Miralem Pjanic has been training since Monday.
“We can either play with two in midfield or all three. If we play with three, it’s Blaise Matuidi, Emre Can and Rodrigo Bentancur, then one from Douglas Costa and Federico Bernardeschi.
“Let’s not forget on Wednesday we’ve got a knockout Coppa Italia match in Bergamo against an Atalanta side that has always caused problems.
“My only doubt right now is whether to use two or three midfielders.”
Allegri explained the differences between the players at his disposal.
“Emre Can has a lot that needs improving, he knows that, in the timing of his moves in front of the defence. So does Bentancur. Pjanic is quicker at moving the ball around, whereas they have longer pauses, so it makes the whole team move more slowly.
“It’s only an issue of training, because Emre Can gives a lot of coverage to the defence and has improved in terms of passing intuition. He is young, like Bentancur, and they have time to learn.”

Max Allegri confirmed Medhi Benatia requested a transfer and Juventus chose Martin Caceres because he is “ready,” but the Coach shrugged off Paul Pogba questions.

The Serie A trip to Lazio kicks off on Sunday at 19.30 GMT, click here for a match preview.

This morning, Martin Caceres underwent his medical ahead of a €600,000 transfer from Lazio, while Medhi Benatia is on his way to Qatar for Al-Duhail.

“Benatia asked to leave, he made a different choice to our intentions and the club gave him what he wanted,” said Allegri in his Press conference.

"Kean must stay at Juventus, because he still has a lot to learn. Juve is the ideal place to improve."

“There was no point keeping a player who didn’t want to be here. In any case, Benatia had some good years at Juventus and I too am sad he is leaving, but I cannot get inside his head and change his mind for him. He made this decision and that’s it.

“Along with the club, we evaluated other profiles that we could bring to Juventus and were fortunate that Caceres accepted. I’m very happy.

“This is his third stint here, so Martin knows the club, is reliable and completes an already strong defensive unit. In about three or four weeks, we’ll have Andrea Barzagli back too, so that’ll be it.

“Caceres is a player who I know and in my view he can give a great deal to Juventus. It wouldn’t have been wise to bring players in with four months left of the season, waiting for them to learn the language, check their fitness levels, etc. It would’ve taken too long. Martin is ready to go."

With that in mind, and the reunion with Leonardo Bonucci after his stint at Milan, Allegri was asked if there could be a return to Turin for Pogba from Manchester United as well.
“You have remarkable imagination! I think it’ll be very difficult to see Pogba return to Juventus.”

"It will soon become apparent just how much @DanieleRugani has grown as a player. We've seen it at times already, in the first half of the season he hasn't played much but now he will have the opportunity to play a lot more
