Next year the board should buy Messi and Neymar but we will never see them play alongside Ronaldo cause...Max. He should change his name to Min - minimum efforts in attack. This guy will never win CL with this philosophy.
Since his first day at Juve he has found multiple excuses not to play the best line-up against even the minions.
His preferences for Llorentes, Matuidis, Sturaros, Khediras and the likes will be his downfall.
As far as I can remember he has always been forced to change his favorite players and tactics after prolonged periods of underperformance and outside pressure ( the press or the fans).
But he continues to be stubborn and very conservative (read pussy) tactician.

This is easily the worst defence we've had in the last few years. We have huge problems back there. Bonucci is unplayable. There is nothing Allegri can do except bench him. He literally does not mark the striker right in front of goal. How the hell do you remedy that?

Alex Sandro is a complete disaster as well. In a 4-4-2, these two guys are going to sink us really fast in the CL. The amount of space Alex Sandro leaves between himself and the LCB is unbelievable. We cannot cover it unless we have a DM sitting right there, basically as a 5th defender.

I don't see how we can play a 2 striker formation in the late stages of the CL. We are wide, wide open. More than any Madrid or Barca team that got carried by Messi/Ronaldo. So I don't think we can rest on Ronaldo, we are going to have to defend something at some point.

We can't bench Bonucci. We have only two players who can pass the ball and he's one of them. Wouldn't be surprised if we see a 3 man backline of some sort.

Credit to Allegri for leaving Costa and Dybala up the pitch when defending a corner at 1-0 before the second goal. Attack minded approach and it paid off with Costa starting the move for the 2nd goal.

Not so attack minded was the 3 man mid of Matuidi, Khedira and Can. Plus we were going to have MDS playing too, but Cancelo did an excellent job instead.

He needs to do something about Bonucci's defending because you can get away with it vs Chievo, Parma and Sassuolo. But probably won't in bigger games.

“Maybe he was irritated at a foul before, but it doesn’t matter, because this absolutely must not happen. The one thing we must avoid doing is falling for provocation,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.
“We could’ve scored a third goal, but instead we started to play as individuals, we tried to dribble past everyone, this wound up the opposition, who then reacted badly and you get to situations like Douglas Costa.
“You just had to see the first three games and how close Ronaldo went to scoring. Again today, he was a little too hasty and eager to score, but it bounced off the post and right into his path. That unblocked him.”
Paulo Dybala was not expected to start, but he played in more of a trequartista role behind the forwards.
“Today, even though it was the first time with this system, we did well. Naturally, the full-backs have to give more width. Sassuolo fought hard and as they became tired later on, we took full control of the game.”
Max post match.
