In previous years our complete backline consisted of world-class defenders who were a strong collective, today, we have 1 left in A. Sandro (once he reaches his level again, and 2 if Chiellini is fit). We shifted focus on our attack, but im still having my doubts whether that is justified.
We should be playing Rugani more. Caldara better be worth the buy and 2 year wait.
-Him making a senseless pass has nothing to do with his injury but more to do with his lack of presence of mind. He is simply no cut out for this level.
-Marchisio was a leader a year or two ago when he was fit and in his prime. The current Marchisio cannot offer the consistent quality you expect from him due to his injuries. This can't be used as an excuse. Pjanić is our best midfielder we have right now.
-Rugani would've made a difference is purely speculative as he has hardly even cemented his spot in the first place. And the fact that he has been pretty horrible in some of the big games in the past doesn't fill you with confidence. He hasn't been great this year either.
-It's pretty obvious. Suárez's best traits is more suited to use him at the center. It reminds me of how Barca wasted David Villa by playing him out wide. Meanwhile Dembele is emerging as one of the best dribblers in the game and is already one of the top 5 young talents in the world. His pace and trickery would've roasted De Sciglio. You can paint it out however you want, De Sciglio is not good enough for Juventus. Period.
-Yes. Keep comforting yourself that every sale we made was a great decision. Bonucci in a Juventus system and Bonucci in a newly built Milan with mostly cack players surrounding him is two different things altogether.
-His mind was clearly out of it after the injury. You could see him hobbling everywhere on the pitch after it. He was doing well up until the injury.
-Marchisio is a leader and influential on the field. More so than Pjanic. I don't disagree that Pjanic is better...with the ball, but doesn't have the leadership. We need what Marchisio can offer and we saw in preseason what that was when he played. He is clearly working hard to get match fit and contribute. If he is fit, he offers quality.
-Rugani hasn't been great but has he been worse than Benatia or Barzagli? Not even close. Poor decision not to start him.
-I feel like had Sandro & MDS been swtiched with the same result you would have flipped your argument. Sandro had little to worry about today with the worlds top 5 young talent in the world because the kid didn't do much at all.
-lol when did I say selling Bonucci was a great decision? Here you are AGAIN putting words in peoples mouths. Even with Bonucci we still would have lost...like we did against Real and Barca the year before that.
