I didnt see much schooling in the first half except khedira beeing shit.

I did see us fall apart in the second half which had nothing to do with your filthy peasant video

Sodd off
But thats what the video kinda says. We were better 1st half, Madrid made adjustments in 2nd half and won

Great news. It's fantastic that they've given Dad another 3 more years at this club.

Now don't sell his best players and actually add world class quality to the team. Maybe then we'll actually have a shot of winning this fucking CL.

Sorry but that's BS.

We lost that second half more than Real won. We totally an absolutely collapsed from the moment the 2nd half kicked off. That Real Madrid team are great, but not unbeatable and we're definitely there for the taking. They were nowhere near as dangerous as that Barca team of 14/15 IMO.

well, we were the better team in the 1st half and conceded a goal as such, then were even better up until the equalizer. in the 2nd half Madrid pinned us back and we couldnt get the pressure off, but we did defend well (despite losing the midfield battle with an injured Pjanic and a underwhelming Khedira) up until the deflection goal, shortly after which came their 3rd. i think Max saw it coming so he was preparing Marchisio and Cuadrado to come in, and who knows if the deflection goal doesent happen we might have turned the game in our favor with these subs. but it had a lot to do with us playing bad too

We looked like PSG in the remontada.

The video mentions 3 changes

1) move to flat midfield instead of diamond cause we lack cm's that get past players and need to pass wide or switch play
2) kroos marking khedira
3) Isco playing much higher

the first change was made halfway the first half, before we even scored. It barely changed anything as we kept comming high over the flanks.

In the first half, we had plenty of times when we had pressure on the center 3. But we combined our way out of it.

Marking Khedira and putting Isco higher made it more dangerous for them to attack, which was their goal, but it would have barely made a difference for us in possession.

Here is the deal. We sat back, we didnt combine. Our backs stayed far in our own half, the cm suddenly stopped passing and combining at all.

If Max would have switched to 4231 by taking off Barzagli and putting Cuadrado, took off the failure called Khedira for Pjanic, we would have easily anticipated their change. Which we did at some point, except Pjanic went off instead of Khedira

Did it change anything ? No, it didnt. We lost cause we completely collapsed on our own. Not cause Madrid pushed higher through the center.

All these 'changes', but it took 15 minutes without a single chance and a deflection to get a goal past a completely crumbled juve.

Who offcourse got exposed now it needed to go forward

A world class winger, top CM, attacking midfielder and reserve striker (Schick)...and we are set.
i'd switch that to

A worldclass cm, a versatile forward (lw/ss/rw) and Schick + Pjaca returning would make me a happy panda.

We need that cm. Fucking khedira piece of crap.

Great that he is staying. Stability and continuity is what we need. Now let's see what Beppe's has own his mind regarding transfers.

modric quoted here basically saying that they won because their coaching staff find out that juve's defense is vulnerable on counters, and they scored 3 out of their 4 goals on counters.
What an insane knowledge that a team is more vulnerable on the counter compared to beeing well organised :baus:

Madird did nothing in the first half. One counter where both cm's, especially loldira, where jogging/sleeping instead of going in the box to pick up that fagget ronaldo, was the only chance they got. We domminated their fucking asses.

In the second half, we completely collapsed and yet they needed a huge deflection.

After that, they could counter our collapsed ass all day.

Madrid would have lost the game if we showed up in the second half like we played in the first one, given that Pjanic didnt injure himself and LOLdira was replaced by Marchisio.

Modric: ‘Juventus poor on the break’
By Football Italia staff

Luka Modric explains how Real Madrid beat Juventus in the Champions League final - “when you catch them on the counter-attack…”

Los Merengues became the first team to retain the trophy since it was rebranded from the European Cup, beating Max Allegri’s men 4-1 in Cardiff.

“[Coach Zinedine] Zidane found the weak point of the Bianconeri defence, and we prepared for the final all week with that in mind,” Modric explained to Sportske Novosti.

“The Juve defenders are fantastic when they’re in position, but not if you can catch them on the counter-attack.

“We worked on that, and it’s how we managed to score three of our four goals in the final. I congratulate Zidane for discovering that, it was key to the game.”

Simply outclassed/outsmarted by Zidane

Looks like something to work on.

Every knight has a chink in their armor somewhere...Zidane found ours.
