Yeah man

First in serie a with 6 points, half a foot into the coppa final and CL quarter finals

what a fucking shid season this is man. Most shid season in decades. We didnt had this shid with Del Neri or Ferrara.

Hence, all teams we played this year are doing better than us, cause its all the same shid in the end.

Shid.
its because our wingers dont dribble enough

Why the hell would he not play Sandro, Alves and Cuadrado, while playing a borderline injured Mandzukic?

This team was ugly as fuck today. Got a lucky result. Sometimes Allegri takes really weird choices in important games. Won't miss that if he leaves.

Max, fix our fucking passing please. For the love of god leave Asa and Licht on the bench. Sandro and Alves are easily the better full backs. Stop with the damn chopping and switching

Good resultat, it's clear we wanted to conserve energy and avoid injuries. Leets hope we get the same resultat on Wednessday
Again with this shit.
The whole season Juve is conserving energy, for what?
For summers america tour?
Massimiliano "Juve will be at maximum performance in March" Allegri.
Well is April already :D

Did you really expect us to go all out against them last night, when we play this same team again 3 days later, and before 2 massive CL games against Barca? This game was basically a glorified friendly/training game for us, the important thing wasnt to lose, and yes, conserve as much energy as possible.

The 4-2-3-1 is not equipped enough. As I said before, Mandzukic at LW isn't working well as he's becoming too predictable to opponents. Pjaca as a replacement is done. You cannot risk playing Sandro there when Asamoah is the only backup for LB. For the 2 midfielders we have Khedira, Pjanic, Marchisio, Rincon, Lemina and Sturaro when we have no options for the 4 in front!

The squad is really not built to use this formation for too long.

Give me 3-5-2 with Dybala and Higuain linking up front.
Yeah, the best of the 4-2-3-1 has passed. but I think most of expected it would work only short-term.

The team looks uninspired and tired at the moment anyway.

I always find it exceptionally hilarious when we play a game where we rest players and mostly dont want to commit too much given the upcomming ties.

And people go like "IF WE PLAY LIKE THIS AGAINST ..."
I kind of agree with this. We have more important games coming up, and needs to manage the squad. It will be interesting to see if we can turn it up wednesday and against Barca. We have looked tired and out of ideas since the Udinese match and it will be interesting to see, if it is us saving the energy for when its needed, or if we are in a slump.

With the exeption of Jan & Feb, our game this season has mostly been defensive and boring to watch. That is ok as long as we win, but for me winning Seria A and maybe the Coppa wont be enough this year. We need to make a statement in Europe this year, so for me the games against Barca are the ones that decide if this has been a good season or not.

y, our schedule has killed our front 4. what pisses me off even more is that Barca played their Spanish Cup semi-finals on Feb 1 and 7 while we play ours on Feb 28 and Apr 5, obviously Spanish care a bit more about their teams progressing in CL than Italians

We play exactly 5 coppa games if we make the final.

Stop crying about everything like a Napoli or Roma fan.

and how does that change the fact that FIGC has scheduled Coppa semi-finals at the most packed moment of the season? it puts their own teams at disadvantage in Europe, it's idiotic. similar to Serie A traditionally starting weeks later than other major leagues and Serie A teams traditionally crashing out of EL and CL preliminaries because Serie A season hasn't even started yet.

are you really trying to imply that how the games are spread through the season doesn't matter?

It's pretty obvious that this was going to be a performance lacking energy, why it's a surprise is anyone's guess. International "break" - all of our 5 attackers went away, one got crippled, another game back with an injury problem, and the other 3 were playing half way across the world (and one of those went away and came back injured ).

All seems a bit daft really to persevere with the 4-2-3-1 for this particular game when we've got some many CMs and DCs just sitting around. Maybe Allegri expected us to be under too much defensive pressure bearing the above in mind if we went for that formation.

Didn't see the second half, but sounds like another lackluster, lethargic performance. Getting really worried that it's not that we're "conserving energy" but this is just our level. My memory for games isn't too sharp, but how many great performances have we had this season? - the kind of performances that we would need to have a chance against Barca

I can kind of understand the need to have those two out there last night, even if it was extremely risky.

I'm looking at this from two vantage points.

#1) Best case scenario, we pull off a win, and go 8 points up, and effectively knock Napoli out of the running for good. Worst case scenario, we lose the match, yet are still up 5. The middle ground was achieved.

#2) Asa and Licht started last night, Alves and Sandro start in an elimination match on Wednesday, Asa and Licht again at home against Chievo, and Alves and Sandro against Barcelona on a week's rest.

My concern, and one that was a big one of mine from the start of this formation change, is the lack of flexibility upfront.

That's the only thing I could think of was the force us to rest our key players for the game that is directly related to hardware, the Coppa. Chievo won't be easy if we don't have any creativity on the field or if we can't get Higuain some kind of service from the wings. A half fit Mario, a CDM as a RAM and a CDM as a LWB and an under performing RB...wasn't sure what Allegri was expecting to happen?

But yes, now we are seeing the issues with the lack of flexibility up front but one that wasn't really intended when we decided to switch formations on the fly this season. I still think we are gonna see the 352 again.

After Max said wednesday is a more important game I think this was totally the idea. Use Licht and Asa in serie A and Alves and AS for copa and UCL.
