I'm pretty happy with this 4-2-3-1 and the way all our attacking players move in the field. There's a long way to go cuz in both games we scored early and that create more open spare so we really don't know how It works against narrows and close teams.

Max needs to read games better cuz he's failing in the subs

BTW. This 'I knew' Mandzo would be an awesome winger in a 4-2-3-1 is very nonsense

No its been most of the performances this season. We have a great squad that is playing to the worst of its abilitys luckily enough the squad is that strong we have stil managed to stay top of the league and qualify to the next round of the CL.
There were a number of things last night that just weren't justifiable.

Im not a blind hater ive always supported him and will continue to while he is our mananger im just not a massive fan anymore.

I'm still hoping it's his typical method of conditioning players to hit form at the right time and altering with the system, although we're almost reaching February now. What I don't like is, him as a good tactician, the games we're getting completely outplayed. Struggle seemed real than just us going to 2nd gear to conserve energy.

Pjaca can play RWF as well. I seen him in a couple of games for Croatia in that position and he was really good.
Needs a couple of players for next season if that is going to be our main formation. Berardi and Keita would be good choices. Both can play wide and as SS.
So if our starting lineup is what it was the last two games, for the front 4 we got one real sub in Pjaca and a few "can play that position" options, most of whom are on the field already. I'm not sure that is good enough for this season, we are playing in 3 competitions and there are no "less important" games left.

Could also include dani alves in "can play that position" category. Worth a try put more attacking responsibilities on that group of players than the current CM's we have who also "can play b2b"

“It’s not an issue of the system so much as the attitude,” Allegri

Can't help but feel that Allegri has been making these subtle digs at his player's attitude and pushing away blame for wrong tactics choice.

Don't think he is deflecting, but what's wrong with his player management when he needs to say that weekly? Coaches who are hardline types or motivators rarely need to say that, they just generally keep the players on their toes. Step your game to get the effort you want from them instead of needing press conferences to remind them their attitude is off frequently.

I have been saying since a long time that at least in serie A, we need to propose more offensive minded formations. We are just too good for this league when we are on our A game...but playing defensive 352 with poor defensive dms and older bbc is not the way. Vidal and Pogba did way too much work and for that this formation was a success against 80% of the teams, but now is simply not sustainable anymore, It puts way too much pressure on our defenders and strikers since etheres a gap to big to fill in the middle, which used to be the pillar of that formation.

Also, too many peeps here change their arguments on the go to suit their agendas. Its ridiculous and embarrasing.

Still, i dont have any problems with mandzukic playing a defensive winger role as long as he doesnt gets in the way of Higuain. So no problems here.

This too. And is indeed not ok.
I mean, some players definitely could be underperforming because of mentality reasons, and in that i can understand allegri. But to say that is "only" the players fault is not fair and not real. Specially when someimes he fucks up the set up of the team or the subs. And this is criticism goes way beyond the tuz, so is not like we are paranoic here.

Exactly. Something is wonky.

I dont like coaches exposing players that way. Conte liked to to teh same when cornered because of bad results.
Like you said, clean the dirty laundry at home and if you have some dudes who are not responding to your orders, go to them and say it in their faces..but do not take this issues to the press.

I dont mind the fact that he is saying it in the press, he's barely even critiquing them, sometimes its needed. But what I mind is his words seems to go to deaf ears because he says this constantly, meaning whatever you doing to mentally prepare or coach them is not working. Its just repeating empty words instead instilling high demanding mindset or motivational preparedness. He had similar tactic in Milan saying stuff like this and it just seems hollow after a while.

People love to feel part of something, beind accepted so it's just the way things are. Nevertheless, when people start to just repeat things over and over again to make sure noone has the will to say something against their arguments cuz you know what its gonna be next. It's like trying to discuss with your wife, they doesn't quit till they have the last word

Childish behaviour, insecurity, inmaturity. The need to belong, to be cool. Lack of individuality. You name it.

But i dont give a damn about that.

Yes players don't seem to really care much about his words. Having said that, I'm sure nature Juve players like chiellini knows when he needs to up his game.

Based on the current world of football where changes and cycles happen so fast, I am half expecting allegri to stay next season.
