Of course it isn't right now. However, Marchisio will come back, Allegri will figure out how to use Pjanic in this team, and Lemina will likely improve as he gains more experience. Add to this Alves and Higuain gaining form and integrating with the team...

FFS, we started with 12 points in 10 matches last season and ended up winning a double, plus were just seconds away from beating Bayern.

I'm not happy with our start, but the overreaction is pathetic.
Marchisio is a big question mark though. Given his age and seriousness of his injury. We don't know if we're getting back the same Marchisio.

I wasn't taking it too seriously but it seems @Osman was right when he was urging us to find a proper replacement for Pogba. We didn't. Unless we find another formation and make it work, our favorite one needs better players in that mid to function. Again, Marchisio might or might not be the solution. We should have done better in the mercato.

We don't know how Marchisio will return, if it goes well it'll be better but he won't fix everything by himself
I don't even disagree with you that our midfield is worse this year. And that there are a lot of "ifs" about this team right now... but that is exactly it, there are a lot of "ifs" that can go either way. And after watching how we recovered from a historically terrible start last season, I'm not going to declare us dead in the water, until we've played more than 5 matches.

I understand caution on Pjaca given his age and lack of experience in Calcio, but Cuadrado is as close as a sure thing as you can get. He should not be on the bench. He was Fiorentina's best player for a couple of years and won games for us last year/ knows the team. How he doesn't come on as a sub is insane.

Allegri said before the season he considers Pjanic a mezzala, not a regista.

Today, he was used as a regista. What does this tell you ?
I think he's fully aware that it's not his best position, but in his mind Pjanic is the best Marchisio replacement for now.

Like I said in the game thread, I understand this way of thinking, but so far it isn't working and it needs to stop.

I understand what you're saying. Just don't taint it with that "we are not ready" clause.
But if we are really not ready ;). I could care less about inter, they won, good for them and fuck them very much.
Fio made a cups last year with Seria A table after 7 or something rounds. I almost don't care how we play till new year if we stay in all competitions.

Agreed, we're not dead we'll surely win Serie A, but I doubt we'll win the CL. Hope I'm wrong and Marchisio helps us out.

It's a competition. You can't say we are not ready when pretty much every team can say that. That readiness is, and should be, relative.
We signed 2 big stars from our direct competitors and Inter has a totally new midfield. We should be more ready than anybody else

I disagree. We are stacked either way. The squad has been upgraded to a level above. It's down to the coach how to use it. He has plenty of options yet he has chosen to play a weaker lineup in two of the biggest games of this month. This is my gripe. When you play in two big games, you field your best players no matter what.
Who's to say he won't do the same against a top opponent in the CL going forward just because of 'experience' or 'defensive stability' ?

Imo Marotta has done an amazing job in terms of stacking up our offensive options.

I have to say one thing. When we had a mercato like this year, you can't blame people for having high expectations or criticising Allegri for that matter.

also this. Pjanic has a similar role to Marchisio in 2015 in this team. starter mezzala and backup regista when Pirlo (now Marchisio) is unavailable. too bad we dont have a 4th top CM so have to play a finished Asa
