Max: Juventus have a strong squad made up of some talented little old men, plus a promising future represented by the likes of Dybala, Pogba, Alex Sandro, Sturaro, Morata, Rugani and Lemina. They can grow and prove themselves in Italy and above all in Europe.

I wish he'd handle his strikers a bit better. I have a feeling he'll play Dybala from the start, start Mandzukic and bench Morata, while in my opinion Morata deserves a good run these days.

If we can get the result using Mandzukic then we should. Morata has a good chance of leaving at a fixed price regardless of his performance. If we retain him by paying money, the amount will only increase if he keeps performing. Mandzukic should have priority especially that we are just as good with him on the pitch.

I actually like Mandzukic quite a lot, these kinds of forwards are a gem to have. But Morata possibly is our future (if Marotta successfully concludes a deal with Madrid), and when both Dybala and Mandzukic are not injured, regardless of form he'll always start from the bench. I feel like Allegri is too strict with his order of preferences, he doesn't consider form or such and that hinders the team in my opinion. There were moments where Zaza was our most in form striker too, and having him start would have been a boost for us, others where benching him was understandable. I'm all about rewarding the players.

I don't think Real's opinion on Morata will change in two months either. We shouldn't base our decision on whether to start him or not on that.

His price won't vary that much or at all. He's not playing in CL anymore and having a good run in Serie A will mean fuck all.

What I meant to say is that it is perfectly natural to prefer the guy you fully own over those who are here on loan for instance, when both would probably give you the win.

Big man, wig man, ha ha charade you are.
You well heeled wig wheel, ha ha charade you are.
And when your hand is on your heart,
You're nearly a good laugh,
Almost a joker,
With your head down in the wig bin,
Saying "Keep on wigging."
Wig stain on your fat chin.
What do you hope to find.
When you're down in the wig mine.
You're nearly a laugh,
You're nearly a laugh
But you're really a cry.

Allegri: 'Juve for goal-difference'
By Football Italia staff

Max Allegri stresses the importance of not conceding goals after beating Palermo 4-0: 'Goal-difference could be decisive between Napoli and Juventus'.

The Bianconeri now hold a lead of nine points over the second-placed Vesuviani, but their Coach refuses to relax.

Before discussing the game, however, Allegri commented on Claudio Marchisio's injury after the player was stretchered off during today's game.

“It's probably about the cruciate ligament, we'll have an evaluation tonight or tomorrow,” he told Mediaset Premium. “We hope it's not that serious.

“Today we had several goal-scoring chances in the first half, but we lost focus after ten minutes. Nobody can afford that, not even us.

“The goal difference is at stake. We must not concede goals. The game must be managed better because we're in the final sprint. You've got to kill off your opponents when they're dying.

“Yesterday's game made it look like the challenge for the Scudetto was over, but that's not the case. We still need two wins and a draw to make it to 86 points. I won't calculate our odds to win, we just need to make more points. Other teams have a simpler schedule of games.

Allegri then discussed the individual performance of his players, including Paul Pogba, Alvaro Morata, Paulo Dybala and Mario Lemina.

“That Pogba should have quality and be decisive is already well-known. I sometimes tell him off, because it doesn't make sense that he should go a whole game without mistakes, only for mistakes to multiply themselves as soon as he makes a single one.

“Lemina played a good game today. He must improve tactically, making less mistakes. I chose him because he offered me protection, though we have alternatives in that position. Hernanes did well to interpret his role,

“Morata did well and so did Dybala. He [Morata] gave us technique and did well physically, although he still committed a few errors from inexperience. He should not be picking up yellow cards for protesting.

“Judging by the results, yes, this is the strongest Juventus team. We can improve with a group of excellent veterans or very good youngsters. This team has an important future. The youngsters will be given a different level of responsibility.

“We're interested in reaching the end and being one point above Napoli, but we'd be satisfied with a draw as long as we have a better goal-difference.”
What a great man.

This guy.

Allegri took us from -12/14 points to +9 with what, 5 games to go?

Not to mention with the 60+ injuries to his team during all 3 competitions? This guy is a fucking legend.

Allegri might be a great coach or legend as some say - BUT the guy is terrible at maths!@

He said in an interview that we have to be careful about the goal difference!? That actually has ZERO bearing on the scudetto as it comes down to the head to head with Napoli which Juventus has the edge. (We lost 2-1 away and won 3-1 at home - 4-3 on aggregate)

He also said: "we need 86 points - 2 wins and a draw". Actually we only need 85. That is the maximum Napoli can get and if we are level, we win, due to superior head to head.

Bottom line: 2 wins out of 5 and the scudetto is ours.

Dai Allegri Dai!

 are you drunk? we didn't win 3-1

and away goal difference apparently does not count in head to head, instead they go goal - concede difference.
