As for now Napoli has more draws, more losses, not to mention they are ahead of us in goals scored and goals conceded. That's some 4 scudetti material right here.

Allegri: 'Keep Juventus intact'
By Football Italia staff

Max Allegri praised Juventus for winning “a risky fixture” against Lazio and urged the club to “confirm this squad for the Champions League.”

The Bianconeri swept Lazio aside 3-0 with a Paulo Dybala brace and Mario Mandzukic tap-in, while Patric saw red at the dawn of the second half.

“This was a risky fixture, but the lads took the right approach,” he told Mediaset Premium.

“We have to take the squad to a level where they don’t need the Coach to motivate them every time. We could’ve struggled a lot less towards the end, as there were a few unnecessary flicks and back-heels, but maybe I am asking too much.

“Dybala is a fine player and very intelligent. He enjoys himself playing in almost a trequartista role, connecting the forwards to the midfield. He has very clear ideas on what he wants to do.”

Considering the fifth consecutive Scudetto could be secured on Monday – if Juventus beat Fiorentina and Napoli lose at Roma – the attention now moves to next season.

“We must confirm this squad, because it’s a young group and we want to do well in the Champions League. Our exit this time was rather hard to swallow.

“We made an impressive comeback in Serie A to win after that bad start, but we can still do even better.”

He said at the beginning of the season when asked about 4312, that he has players with characteristics to play behind the strikers and mentioned Dybala among Pereyra and Hernanes. Nothing new here

If he builds Dybala as a trequartista (which seems logical), I suspect we might need another support striker type player in the squad perhaps.

I wonder - you think this would work?

-------Dybala

Berardi-----Morata

It's as though people have completely forgotten Tevez and how he played for us last year.... Constantly picking up the ball in the midfield, connecting our midfield to our attack... while still being a forward... in both 3-5-2 and 4-3-1-2... While the two have different strengths, the way they drop deep to bring the ball forward into attack is very similar... and makes neither of them an outright trequartista.

Allegri could easily have said Tevez played an "almost trequartista role" last season at various times.

You could say it about huge number of more mobile Support Strikers who drop deep and bring the ball forward. Doesn't make them an outright trequartista.

Spot on. I like that he's working that ability into Dybala, cause he really has the skillset to retain the ball, or liberate him from defenders and ideally, either go on a mazing run, or send one of the wingbacks or striker through the defence

Thats why i think, and i said since the beggining, that this guy has the potential to play as a treq, but not as a static treq, but more of a "tevez like" treq who drops deep when needed, and attack too... not just limiting him to be in the 3/4 waiting for a ball to come to see what to do.

We can very much play with another SS like Berarddi and the 2 could overlap positions from time to time when dybala goes on the attack.

IMO Dybala is way more swift and inventive than Berardi, and Berardi has some good assists and goals on his legs too. Letting Berardi play as an SS/RW and giving Dybala the Treq/forward/Free role position could be the best solution.

Dybala just doesnt stay around the box waiting for a ball to score, but he goes very deep pretty much like Tevez did and runs with the ball.

A balance of dropping deep and orchestrating attacks, but at the same time keeping his aggresiveness on the enemy area is what he needs to aim.

IMO practising this template is what will give us the edge needed...and the best is that we can save some good money of finding that Treq and use it elsewhere (ie. securing Morata and Cuadrado).

When you think about it, we would have attacks coming from Pogba, Morata,Dybala,Berardi and whoever plays in the mid like Khedira, Lemina or a new guy.
Keeping Sandro, Cuads and adding someone like Lirola who seems technical, would do wonders too.

Sounds promising tbh.
