He really made me shut the fuck up. Not gonna lie, I wanted him sacked at half time for fielding hernanes but mane I'm glad I'm an idiot and he's not.
My initial reaction was wtf, but wasn't too bothered by it, was hoping Hernanes could do something cause were absolute shit out there.

Unfortunately that napoli game, and basically Zaza's goal worked like a double edge sword. Like I said after that game. this setup is way too conservative and aimless going forward, banking on individual moments and out of nothing goals. It may work with a cm like Vidal and Pogba shifting more central in attack (not force to play like a typical winger) but with current lineup it takes our best players out of the game.

Hopefully with return of AlexSandro, Asamoah and Pereyra we have more options for return game, but It's very disappointing because watching our first goal, his favorite 4-3-1-2 woulda killed Bayern's backline today.

I appreciate Hernanes' effort, but the reason he looked fine today was because we had no build in our attacks, keeping the ball for a few extra seconds it's something he's always been able to do.

I'm optimistic, man. After the horror of two goals down we were able to come back for less than 30 min. If that is not impressive after our shitty performance I don't know what could be more impressive.

We'll be another team in Germany. We'll learn our lesson.

Great subs by Allegri. It was not his tactics that failed us but the lack of confidence. Hernanes MOM. Imagine how huge Allegri's balls must be to sub Hernanes in this game :agree:

Allegri: 'Juve lacked confidence'

Max Allegri felt Juventus were lacking “confidence in our own abilities” before they fought back with Bayern Munich.

The Bianconeri were totally dominated in the first half, but fought back from 2-0 down for a 2-2 draw and threatened to win at the end.

“In order to qualify we have to win and now we have to do it there,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.

“The team played well and we have to build on the second half performance more than the errors of the first half. We should’ve done better playing our way out of defence, but still created some interesting opportunities.

We improved in the second half and above all gained confidence, so we were rewarded for that. It proves that in the Champions League you need more belief and courage.

“Of course we believe in our chances, absolutely, and the fightback gives us more confidence. Right now have to focus on Serie A though.”

Allegri’s choices coming off the bench were surprising, but inspired, as Hernanes did well when replacing injured Claudio Marchisio, while Alvaro Morata provided an assist and Stefano Sturaro scored.

“The substitutions went well, I am happy for Hernanes, as he was often criticised by the fans. I introduced Sturaro because we needed someone to run in from midfield and Sami Khedira was flagging. Sturaro brought sharpness.”

Was allowing Bayern Munich 70 per cent possession in the first half part of the plan?

“Bayern’s last man was often Arturo Vidal and we should not have allowed them that much space. As long as Bayern maintained a certain tempo, it was not easy for us. Fortunately they lost intensity and we came out.

“We need to have more confidence in our own abilities and not sit so deep. We can do it and I’m happy to have certain players back from injury.”

Juventus have gone through in each of the last six European knockout rounds in which they started with a home draw.

Super optimistic for the game in Munich. I think we may do it. I hope that Sandro will be fully fit and with him and Cuad we can come overcome them. 3-5-2 for the return leg pls.

Coming back from a 2 nail down after 70 minutes at this stage takes a lot confidence. For players like Morata and Sturaro coming on and still fight and go for every challenge means they have shit loads of courage. Dybala and Pogba missing 2/3rd of the game, not that it was down to bayern's gameplan but our own system, this is unfortunately on you mister.

His Juve was humiliated, failed to make almost any attempt on goal. Tonight we made more shots on target than Bayern and came close to winning in the end. This team is great, definitely among the top 4 in Europe.
Going against Heynckes's bayern, a side that beat Barcelona 7-0, with Quag and Matri is like going into a war with firecracker. I agree this team is good tho.
