Inter & Milan are clearly better than last season, Napoli as well arguably. And putting Darmian in the same sentence with Tevez & Vidal....well

Napoli improved their coach, that's about it imo. He knows how to use Insigne properly. Plus Allan is an improvement for them. They are still weaker than Cavani era Napoli.

Inter and Milan are better. Milan offensively, Inter defensively. Inter is however one of the most offensively inept teams in the league. 11 goals in 10 games. Eventually they'll crumble. Milan is inept defensively.

Roma is still much worse than Roma of 2 years ago.

And Juventus is much much much worse than the last few years.

The top end of Serie A sucks compared to the last few years. Almost every year there were 2 good teams at the top. This year it's all mediocre up there. Ever since Milan destroyed the Ibra-Silva era and Napoli ended the Cavani era, Serie A has been rubbish up top aside from Juve. And now it's even worse rubbish.

Failure to win this mediocre league is appalling.

Dzeko? He scored 7 goals last year. Has 1 this year. Jovetic is overrated by far, as is Kondogbia. Alex Sandro isn't a starter. Cuadrado only starts because we suck. Bacca, Suarez, Miranda are the only real improvements to the league, and very minor. Especially when compared to losing Tevez and Vidal and Darmian who are far better than any of those you listed.

And yes, Pirlo's departure isn't such a big blow ,he isn't in the same league as Darmian for sure.

I would have. Yes. I agree. And long term, I like Alex Sandro way better. But seeing as he isn't a starter and Allegri prefers a senior citizen in Evra, I'd like to see more of him here before I call him some kind of star.

All true but still the only aspect of football manager's job this tells us anything about is in-match decisions. We have no idea if he's able to handle every-day training. Does he have any tactical mind? Can he motivate players? All of this was handled by Conte and it constitues a much bigger part of being a football coach. Subs won't mean $#@! if your tactic is terrible and your players weak both physically and mentally.

All I'm saying is that hiring Carrera as a first-team coach would be the same kind of gamble as hiring Ferrara was back in the day. We are way past such gambles as a club. If we want to change coach we should only do this if we have a proper, experienced and, if possible, world-class replacement.

Serie a teams are better this year but the lack of experience make all toó unconsistent...

Because the team leading Serie A is in last place in their Europa League group. No, not champions league, but Europa.

Serie A didn't improve. No star of players were brought in from other leagues in the summer mercato. Players were bought from around the league, scraps and flops were bought from other leagues, and the league lost several of its best players, the likes of Tevez, Vidal, Darmian, etc.

My point is that all these teams are weaker than when they were at their strongest over the last several years. Napoli is weaker than Cavani era Napoli. Milan is weaker than Ibra-Silva era. Roma is weaker than 2013-14 when they had Benatia, Strootman, and a better Totti. Inter is weaker than 2011-12 Inter. And so on. Last year and this year are the first that their haven't been two very good teams in the league. At least last year Juventus made up for that by being a great team. This year the top of the table is filled with mediocrity. Worst Serie A yet.

There's not a single team this year in Serie A that has a CL Quarterfinal calibre squad.

They may have better squads but they are extremely inconsistent. We are pretty much the same, we have the talent but we don't have the consistency and inconsistency is a sign of a weak league. There are three teams above us in the table with a negative goal difference. Only three teams in the league have a goal difference higher than +5 after so many matches played. The team with the most winning streaks is Inter where they so called "got lucky". Napoli looking as the team with most coherence and proper display are in fourth position. Fiorentina who are leading the table lost 3-1 to mid-table Torino. I could go on forever on how teams are not consistent and it is the biggest sign of weakness. Juventus in the past 3 years have shown that they are the ONLY team in the league with a play idea, the only team that would win with the likes of Padoin and Peluso and fucking Bendtner starting a match. All Serie A teams rely on individuals, the teams may seam stronger on paper but on the pitch there is a huge lack of footballing ideas. Is that Juve's fault? No it isn't but when we had a basic play,, we were cruising the league like a walk in the park and even if we secured the title easily, we raised the quality of football simply by playing our matches. So far not a single team was able to do that and the entire league now stinks of mediocrity
