Honestly, I think we're going to be standing at the San Siro next year. The team has an aura to it right now, its in very capable hands with a young manager who still feels he has more to achieve.

The way Bonucci took off his medal and walked away it looked like he was heading straight for the training ground to do even better. Future captain imo.

It like to get them in the first knockout round, have a fully fit team and meet them while missing Pique and iniesta just back from injury.

Then eliminate them and basically gift gaynaldo the golden ball

Good job Allegri. Thank you and I am sure with a proper summer window to sign players that the coach wants, we will have a good outing next year.

Indeed. 2014/15 will mark one of our greatest seasons of all time. It's incredibly difficult to top this. We cannot expect that.

Next season our aim is to win the scudetto and to consolidate our place as a top 8 team in Europe. I think that's a great aim, and a realistic one.

Once you're constantly reaching those quarter finals and semi finals of the CL, there's always a decent chance of slipping back into the final again at some point.

That's who we've got to be now. The club that's always "up there", sniffing about. Ready to pounce and get back into the final at the first opportune moment.
I too hope this season is just a starting point, but I'm just not optimistic. Next season is almost bound to be disappointing & we (the entire club) need to be able to deal with that.

Then again, this could be the immense frustration talking.

At the start of the season people predicted we would have a run for our money in Serie A, yet we finished the season with 2 of 3 trophies. Why should we settle for less? We should be able to continue our dominance in Italy and anything more than a quarter final place should be a success. Not every team can make it to the final consistently but as long as we are maintaining our place in your Europe that is really all we could ask for.

It's virtually impossible to do better. Personally, I can't say I'm looking forward to next season.
I think it all depends on which players we'll sign this Summer. It will be a difficult task for Allegri to motivate the team (again). We need fresh blood, and we already got a good start with Dybala and Khedira IMO. We need more though and we need to keep our stars. The last thing we need is to repeat what Inter did in 2010.

I noticed that too. He's an incredible human being. :)

What do you mean by disappointing? Group Stage exit in the CL? Not winning the league?

Marotta, Agnelli, and Paratici would never allow for that type of economic downturn. That isn't the way the foundation of this club is built. It took time, maybe even too much time for some, but I really think that we are only seeing the beginning for this club.

If you think about what they have done, they are replenishing the squad every year with young players while still holding on to their star players. This team is rebuilding as they are getting better every season. It's almost unheard of.

I believe so too, Serge. It's truly an amazing time to be a Juventino, especially after all that we've been through. I'm so proud.

Not winning the league would obviously be disappointing. And that might seem far fetched today, but it obviously could happen.

Basically anything less than another great run in Europe would feel disappointing, would it not?
And what are the realistic chances of overachieving this much again and, for example, reaching the semis?

I don't know why, but for some reason I feel like next season is going to be extremely difficult.

Well, looks like this loss really got to me & made me a pessimistic twat.

I think we'll win the league again, but maybe it'll be a bit harder (this is what I've been saying for the last 4 years btw :D).

The club always stated that it's objective is to reach the QFs and I don't think it's gonna change next year. I think that reaching the QFs next year won't be disappointing, especially if we won't get much luck in the draws. We are realistic and we have to be. No team expects to be in the CL final every year, so I don't think we're any different in that aspect. One thing's for sure, this club made a statement this year and I for one am so excited to watch them prove it wasn't a fluke season.
