There's no way he can be blamed for the loss, but I can't help but wonder what would have happened if he'd made his subs earlier and took off/didn't start Pirlo.

Oh well, thank you Max for an incredible season. I hope you stay on for a long time and avenge us in a future final.

He's right, at the end of the day, we lacked experience.

All this time we have demonstrated that if we struggled in the first, we would always come back stronger in the second. No pussy mentality, that we will fight back. Maybe we were JUST behind Barca today, either in terms of overall quality or individual brilliance, but that will come with time and EXPERIENCE. But our mentality has been restored, more importantly, restored in EUROPE

Well, at the very least we will for sure kicking asses in Italy with him at the helm. That was on the line when conte left us so luckily we got that secured.

With better personel at his disposal and a whole summer to prepare...we have at the very least, a 75% chance or more of making it out of the group stage in the CL...and with some luck, we can reach the semiis again.

Im very curious to see what allegri will do for next season..... what he learned from this one..what he thinks we need...

interesting indeed.

good job allegri

Poor subs anyway, had no plan b, i would never swap Llorente - Morata, he was too scared to sub off Pirlo from what i see, probably it was really the last match for him in juventus jersey
i think he kept pirlo just in case he won a freekick or corner.

Don't know about this whole plan B thing though, I thought we played pretty well after we equalised. In fact it began to look like as if we were going to win it. Shame we couldn't capitalise on the momentum we had.

He only makes subs as a reaction to the opponent. He needs to be more proactive and forward thinking with subs.

Starting Pirlo was wrong, keeping him on for 90 minutes was also wrong.

His only fault was that he did not have enough balls to bench pirlo at the start

Even enrique dared to bench xavi ffs :sergio:

Pirlo should have been subbed off, especially after 1-1, he was absolutely useless in the 2nd half of the 2nd half
marchisio
Pogba - Sturaro
Vidal
Yes and yes and yes.

Pirlo is a legend but he should not have started today...just like Xavi didnt started.

In this, Max lacked balls...

I have this same feeling of when i wanted Conte gone because i knew he was keeping us from being better, just that this time, im not mad against Pirlo... Its just that i feel that Allegri just cant bench him.

If his presence makes us have this problem..he needs to go or accept the bench. Having the Xavi role seems perfect to me, and if he stays, i hope allegri just benches him and use Marchisio.

Thats my only real whine against Allegri.

It was certainly not his best game. He gambled with starting Pirlo. Maybe he expected the Lazio ET Pirlo, but that man didn't show up. He probably should have taken Pirlo off instead of Vidal. But it doesn't matter. It's okay for him to have a bad day in office. He's the reason we are back at the top echelons of European football and I can never forget that. Forza EuroMaxx, you are already a legend in my books.

It's virtually impossible to do better.
Indeed. 2014/15 will mark one of our greatest seasons of all time. It's incredibly difficult to top this. We cannot expect that.

Next season our aim is to win the scudetto and to consolidate our place as a top 8 team in Europe. I think that's a great aim, and a realistic one.

Once you're constantly reaching those quarter finals and semi finals of the CL, there's always a decent chance of slipping back into the final again at some point.

That's who we've got to be now. The club that's always "up there", sniffing about. Ready to pounce and get back into the final at the first opportune moment.

:agree: That is the next step. Being there always. That has to be the norm. No more of this barely making it out of the group stages crap.

This will be the start of a cycle of winning for us not the end...I am confident of this.

We haven't reached our peak, we haven't reached our ceiling
