cont' first season team, but with asa, pogba, tevez and lloretne could have been amazing in europe. it's was extaclty the kind of team style and play that recent teams like atletci, bayern, inter and barca played.

Yeh i remember that we played a very interesting brand o football...even when we got a gazillion tied games... as it was mainly the fault of our inefficient forward line. but the pressing was nice.

imo allegri needs to look at dortmunds' run in cl 2013, atheltico in 2014, and most importantly conte's first season in juve as teams to build on.

all those teams had a mix of good technical players, combined with hardworking but limited players. but all 3 shared one thing. they would press the fuck out of teams and had some fantastic off the ball movment

imo allegri needs to look at dortmunds' run in cl 2013, atheltico in 2014, and most importantly conte's first season in juve as teams to build on.

Maybe because we didn't have to play in Europe that season and could afford the immense workrate.

That would be fine if we dropped off when the CL schedule became hectic, but we pretty much never played with that intensity after the first season, we became more and more cautious in many games. Hopefully now we have a bench we can rotate enough to have our engines fresh enough. As opposed to the game against Bayern where our team was dead and they could play a C team in the BuLi and still win.
