I've never understood the focus from people on the 'dai, dai, dai' thing.

I know that when I'm at a game and I see a player has the space to drive forward with the ball, I'm likely to be bawling something to the same effect.

Some extremely funny comments here.

"Allegri should work on his substitutions"

We are 1-0 up, Malmo isnt doing a goddamn thing against our organisation whilst we keep going ahead. Wich is kinda what we want.
Then why on earth change that ?

Substitutes in priority games, are a means to change the tactic when needed.

If you are ahead and you controll the game, it means you are doing it right and shouldnt change the tactic
Subbing Llorente for Morata isn't changing tactics, just a pair of fresh legs who might or might not add/try something that we still haven't tried up front at that point.

In fact i'm glad he did the sub at all, we got a goal because of that.

I want to see more of Morata.

I love Allegri so far. The team is playing with higher tempo and more entertaining imo.

Fact is, we have won our first opening game in CL since some time. The team looks awesome, if only he had another attacker from the bench.

Regardless, what if he is injured immediatly, or buffon takes a red, of morata completely fails at keeping the ball etc.

Prior games, only sub when neccecary (before 85min )

Late subs, he risked there!
letting your strongest 11 play as long as possible kinda is the opposite of "risking", as long as the fitness allows it.
and i can´t remember anyone looking particulary tired despite licht, who always looks like he is about to collapse.

i would have liked some earlier subs in the udinese game, though.

In all fairness this match was probably the most important must win game for him. Imagine the global meltdown if we suffered in the CL straight away yet again

so keeping the key players on for as long as possible was playing it safe. And thankfully it paid off.

Nee to make earlier subs in the future though

Why are substitutes so neccecary when you are winning the game and firm in controll of it ?

I'd like to hear a good response to this, so i can have a big laugh, and then tell you why you are blatantly wrong.
