Because one mediocre/poor mercato undoes the previous several years of success and means all mercatos for the forseeable future will be lousy... Get a grip. Be rational. Take some deep breaths. Understand that things aren't so starkly black and white, either this or that. There's a reasonable middle ground where one can recognize both positives and negatives, and see what there is to be positive about and what there is to be negative about.

Inter not making the CL is not Hernanes fault. He is a solid player that will be useful and probably do more for us than someone who would cost triple. Using your logic is like us not signing Pirlo 4 years ago because Milan didn't want him.
