As others asked a few other times, what is it we are building? What is our style of play? What are we trying to do? Where are we progressing?
I noticed some really long throws by McKennie and some decent corner kicks, as well as an impressive Milik freekick a while back. Could be it.

As I already pointed out, I was hoping for change when we hired magnanelli as a coach to help give some identity, but it's evident to me that Allegri is just not willing to accept or adapt to that. And like I said this season more than any other is crucial and allegri had a clean slate with no distractions, yet I'm not seeing any progress on the on going issues we've seen for the past few years.

Allegri in his own words said he was part of the solution and not the problem, this was his year to prove that and so far he's failed.

Lets hear from the actual football experts. They must be brewing some long posts right now as we speak..

We are building CL squad to get hammered by maccabi, benfica and Villareal. But yes that is juventus, we should be happy with that, otherway you are plastic fan

Can we split allegri thread in two, throaters and dinosaur? @GordoDeCentral?
Just bring the Turk back. His insults are the best.

I dont know what else youre hoping to read when they're adamant that this squad is the worst squad since being relegated to Serie B

Then he certainly has to work on his English.

Seriously allegri would do well at Everton, a slightly better version of Dyche

The management first preference is to meet with Allegri to discuss renewal and objective of the club in the event that Allegri does not stay, I have found confirmation (as already written by Corriere della Sera and other media) on the fact that Juve are evaluating Thiago Motta, current Bologna coach, with whom 'has already been a first approach quite recently. Motta's profile is particularly appreciated and he is already considered capable of managing an important dressing room due to his winning past as a footballer.

Fagioli was not even a starter, so if you put caviglia or fagioli in the starting lineup there wont be any difference. And how do I remember there was a winter mercato, we could bring someone on that position and not broken djalo or alcaraz, who will be sooner or later benched because he play too much of the attacking football.

2nd place is the only thing that is protecting this fraud to be here. Also the outcome from milan and atalanta games are going in his hand. As I say, when he is out of luck (started with empoli) the true picture will emerge.

For me 2nd place is less important than seeing progress, playing quality football, rotate with young players and showing something that I can rely on in the future. If i had 7mill budget for a coach, I would want to hire klopp, zidane, de zerbi, without budget motta or palladino.
He most certainly was. Started 17 games despite missing almost 100 days because of a broken collar bone and some other injury. Remember we tried to offload McKennie...?

Winter mercato? Nice and all but you need money and those guys had 4 weeks now to integrate. You judged them already? I expected nothing else.

You truly deserve a Sarri type of guy. He'll play beautiful football and never win a thing again. His 5 minutes of fame are long gone.

I also would want to hire Zidane or Klopp but then let reality check in and know they'll never come to a rebuilding team strapped on cash with high expectations. It's not a good career path. De Zerbi is an obvious fraud of course. Motta? Sure, I'd take him. He always was a smart player too.

Why bother meeting allegri. Just give him his marching orders.

What do they do in training? By now I can guess it, it would be something closer to 1980s training rather than anything a contemporary top teams do, with below par physical conditioning as well as evidenced many times in the past... For attacking, clearly the fraud baldy would only tell them where they would play on paper but leave them to figure it out for themselves, again the fraud baldy practically admitted it himself.

On defense? Again, just to set up deep defense and limit the opposition to the wings. Other than that, just generic technical training obviously, on tactics, well what tactics? Even a few weeks ago some random commentators laughed out how chiesa and Yildiz played awkwardly together, there's your evidence.

And yeah just minimal guidance to players like Yildiz too, no technical guidance, no tactical guidance, no vision etc.

Pretty much sums up what we've been seeing in the last 3 seasons, isn't it?

I really think a change of coach now would galvanise the squad not only securing top 4 but also winning the Copa Italia.

Too bad there is no temporary solutions available.
Only a few more months, my man.

Hopefully. I absolutely respect and love what he did here in his first stint. That can never be taken away. But for all this talk about how he studied the modern game, I certainly don't see it. It's time to move on, for sure

I just hope that the gift of hindsight will allow us to view his tenure in its entirety.

This man was extremely instrumental in our fantastic run, especially considering that the overwhelming majority of us, present company included, did not want him here. Even more so considering the situation he took on, and who he was replacing.

He made a believer out of me, for sure. Fantastic job in his first stint .

It just sucks that he hasn't progressed at all. For someone who was adept at adjusting his system to the players around him in the past, this has been disappointing. But, if he can secure that CL spot for the next coach (Motta please. Pretty please.) Then kudos to him.

I can be frustrated, angry, disappointed.

But I will never ever hate this guy. He did far too much good for us.

The hate should be targeted at those who haven't fired him yet. He really should have been fired December 2022.
