Over a year in the club, makes as much as Premier League managers and the overall play looks like this:

Sent from my ...
Vlahovic’s average position deeper than Perin? There’s more wrong with that illustration than just Allegri’s pathetic tactics.

I do recognise the U formation though. We definitely spent the majority of the first half in that shape.

We are 11th position for AVG time for Ball Possesion per match after 2 matches. But the worst part is we are the 4th bottom (17th) for Avg time ball possession in opponent midfield. Only Cremonese, Lecce, and Lazio are worst than us. Milan and Inter also better than us in possesion.

For me, its a worrying statistics. I dont know how long we can rely on pragmatic and defensive passive football to win the league. I still hope we can win it this season, but the sign after 2 matches are not encouraging.
depressing

I agree with this, but can we pass the ball more in oppositions half, preferably around the box??

At one point it felt like those CL games, where both teams settle for a draw since they would both qualify out of the groups with a point, neither side willing to take the initiative.
well that simplification shows why no one pass the ball into the space, our players don’t move without the ball at all just stand there, receive, return and repeat

In summary This.

Its a constan in allegria team. The lack of offensive movement and the abandon of midfield play is extreme to say the least. No pro coach should be given free license to let a team play This bad.

Im starting to think that allegri dodged the Madrid bullet for a reason, he knew he had no hope of survival there, and came here for the big safe paycheck.

I believe he would've got respectable results with Madrid's squad. They wouldn't have played great football but he would've won them trophies. He would've just needed to focus on the tactics while Madrid's 'experienced' champions execute it on the pitch.

But it's clear as day he is not the man to rebuild a struggling team in transition. He doesn't seem capable of improving the overall level of the squad or develop a consistent pattern of play. He is unable to motivate the team either as I don't see our players showing any kind of fighting spirit.

Tbh getting someone like Zidane wouldn't change much either. He would probably struggle as much given how we have poorly recruited over the past couple of years. Our situation begs for a Conte style coach atm.

I really really wish that it turned out that Pirlo was a good coach and things actually worked out here.

Imagine having a young coach that played modern proactive football, giving game time to the youngsters with the players totally willing to die in for him on the pitch.

We deserve that and there's no reason at all why a club the size of Juventus can't achieve it if they would only plan things more carefully.

Aren't there good young coaches like Italiano rather than going back to the toxic conte who might leave us anytime if we didn't agree to his transfer demands.

those young Italian coaches are a risk as well, so many of them have flamed out at bigger clubs. You at least know what you're getting with Conte, and hes the perfect manager for squad thats trying to focus more on younger players. I hated him when he quit but would love to have him back.

That’s too conspiring theory. IMO he tried something at the beginning of last season, Woj and AS brain farts gave away points, almost everyone was performing below their level and Max lost confidence. He tried to do damage control and got too conservative

I was hoping for a start where his old good preparing and reading games routine be back in place. Last game he had nothing so my fear is that he last season Max is here to stay and that’s a terrible coach… he still has time but dropping points is not going to help him at all in that matter

We’ll see

when we had great midfielders we lost two finals under him. with a lot of injuries, bringing him was pointless. as past item, should have left behind.
When we were doing well we also had Marotta as a sporting director who did make his fair share of mistakes but he was good at building squad. Now we are in complete mess right from financial fitness staff unbalanced squad and coaching issues.
