Why do people expect managers to be at their best forever? They have their peak just like a footballer then that’s it.

Mourinho is done, has been for many many years. I don’t think Max went full Mourinho yet but the possibility is real. I think the fact this club has been falling down the hill for the last 3-4 seasons is playing a big part as well. He should’ve gone to Madrid when he had momentum on his side.
I think it's because some people get attached emotionally to the events in the past which made them happy. For example, when Max led us two times to almost a CL glory and so many consecutive titles in seria a.

They get nostalgic and romantic about these times to the level that they will justify any current slip ups with other reasons than Max for example.

- Yes we miss Chiesa and Dybala, but it's not like we were collecting maximum points with them on the pitch.

- Yes, we don't have Pogba, Pirlo and Vidal but that doesn't mean that you deprive your current players of going forward and force them to defend deep every game. There's absolutely no player in this world not dreaming about going forward and scoring goals. After all, that's what football is about in its essence.

I'd rather stay lucid and try to come up with solutions than get attached to the past glory like the average Inter fan screaming the same words whenever they lose -

"but but but we won the Tripleta."

I don’t need an excuse. We didn’t lose today. And it wasn’t some undeserved result. We had great chances to score another couple goals, they did to. It was a pretty even away game in the CL knockouts. A good performance? No. There are 3 months left in the season, we have a home game we need to win to qualify for QFs, 3 months to improve, and you’re hoping we fail to get top 4 so he’s fired. That’s beyond stupid and petty. If we get knocked out of CL by Villarreal then maybe you can start with this, but otherwise it’s just dumb and premature lol
This same Villarreal knocked out Atlanta a team which we have failed to beat in serie A. Without Dybala creativity was always going to be a problem. It was always a 50-50 tie with our squad.

Especially when the guy went on a vacation for 2 years. He came back and thought he could pick up where he left off with a stacked team and opponents who run and hide.
not really. he said that this team is completely different, lacks leaders and is still backing his shitty squad game after game.

with max it's the overly defensive approach which pisses me off the most. i love italian football and i can always see the art in a well timed tackle and i enjoy counter attacking football but at this point we're not even trying to attack just to stay relatively compact and have as many players behind the ball as it's physically possible. and unlike de ligt's shitty positioning error, this approach is fully on the coach. i liked our display vs verona, and it was only a few weeks ago. that juve would have won today.

The winning mentality just isn’t there. I’ve seen it just once this season. And in that game, he wasn’t even on the bench.

Are you more upset by my comment than our performance?

And yes, with each passing game I'm beginning to think there is no hope for Allegri to build a proper team here. His attitude of having us defend one goal leads against inferior teams is unacceptable. His insistence to continue using players who don't bother to break a sweat is unacceptable.

So maybe you want see Daddy Allegri here for the next decade, but I'm really fed up of his football and do not want to see another season of it. It's not worth it playing in the CL for me, especially if we're going to keep embarrassing ourselves against inferior opponents. Give him SMS, Bremer and a LB and it'll be a more expensive version of our current 90s calcio Alzheimer ball. Fuck that.

Considering the previous 2 seasons' embarassing results against Lyon and Porto, I ll take this draw. Not happy with our performance though. I dont understand why he insists on playing Rabiot so much. Absolutely useless player. At this point Arthur or Zakharia should be ahead in the pecking order. We need to secure top 4 and beat Villareal in return leg. Anything more is extra for this squad. Very uninspiring group of individuals although he takes some of the blame for persistently using Rabiot. People should chill, lets see where we are come the end of season, then bring out the pitchforks.

Oh man, the hypocrisy from this guy :lol2:. Scolds me when I say that Verona had good goalscoring opportunities, but then comes up with this shit after we managed to get one goal on target excluding the goal

If it wasn't for Rabiot and his post game interviews, it would be easier to deal with him. He really has a limited squad, full of soft players.

Would need a coach thinking outside of the box to find solutions on this team. If you put an average Joe in place of Allegri, I think you would get similar results.

The thing is he is not only more stubborn than before, but by his speeches after game, it does look like he has sort of given up on improving (at least with this squad) and is washed.

Anyway, I would let go 3-5 of these soft players before changing the coach.

And he's not leaving any sooner either. His contract clause should be huge given the number of years and salary.
