That whole chance is created by the archaic man marking defensive line that causes Alex Sandro to run to the fucking right side of the field. The line should be flat, and he should pass the attacker to Chiellini. But Chiellini is doing Chiellini things in midfield like how he got done by Morata in the Euros.

I wonder how many games Chiesa will play until he learns to track back no wonder Ronaldo left when Allegri told that he needs to put a defensive shift
We’re without a clean sheet in 18 games, lost our best goalscorer and replaced him with a teenager. Yet you’re wondering why our coach losing sleep over defense?

Attack is the best form of defence time to unleash Chiesa and Cuadrado
That’s just a nonsense platitude that has never really applied to any sport.

There’s another well-known sports maxim too, ya know.

“Defense wins championships.”

What is actually the case is that well-balanced teams that can both attack and defend well are the best teams. Which is why Zidane Madrid was so good. Which is why our two CL final teams were so good. Which is why Klopp Liverpool were so good. Etc etc. All well-rounded teams.

We are currently a mess both in defence and attack. But I absolutely know which I prefer being fixed first, defense, because it will create a more solid and organized team that will eventually lead to more freedom and opportunities in attack.

Y’all talk about attack and possession but until we have a solid, well-organized base teams will just run rough shod over our midfield and back line if we try to do this “attack is the best defence” nonsense.

Ok so defending is crucial? You’ve just gone full circle
Yes defending is crucial but we can't sit back defending the lead for the entire second half as Allegri has himself mentioned that this Juve is different from the Juve he left and obviously we need to learn to grind out 1-0 victories but it has been two years since Allegri left and neither Sarri nor Pirlo were good in organising the defense so it will take some time before we can sort out this mess and the fragile mentality of our players.
