There's nothing really to it. It's just some garbage Italian sources as usual running their propaganda to feed the fantasies of guys like AC. It's no different to the 'Juve are going to build a team of Galactico's' that you read every now and then. It's silly season, ofcourse you will read sensationalist rumors.

Imagine thinking Allegri will take up the Juventus job with the aim of 'building a core' for the NT. Something like an Italian core should happen organically, not something you proactively 'plan' for. Quality > nationality. A simple logic that fails these deluded Azzurri fanboys' minds.
There are enough good Italian options available, all for a decent price.

Obviously you should get quality, but we’re not Internazionale. As Del Piero said; who’s there to transmit the Juve DNA without a Italian core?

Thank you it's so unbelievable how anti Italian a forum for an italian club is.
You hit it right on the head we aren't inter and yet they had more italians than us this year and look how that turned out

Dude be like me zero expectations since the beginning.
We're broke. No money. Anything that goes in is more than what we could afford right now.
Broke is a bit of an exaggeration, but yes, people really shouldn't get their hopes up. At least not for the moment.
Even without taking COVID into account, way too much money was wasted these past few years. There are bound to be repercussions.

That being said, for the love of all that is holy: leave Pjanic where he is.

Juves DNA has been rotten for years now. I wouldnt consciously try to transmit or retain any of that, but kill it with fire and get some SMART, hungry, not lazy, modern blood and DNA in.

Im worried that Allegri really will bring back Pjanic and trust his old italian players, but so far its just rumours and too early to judge.

For years now ? Hence the issue since the team changed structure they killed the DNA. You all can say nationality means nothing but an italian kid who all his life is stewing in calcio to finally make it and wear our stripes when coached properly will always fight harder than a foreigner that is only taking a pay

Meh not true. Depends on a player and his character. Its a problem of today's trends in football more than just nationality. Look at Bernadeschi. We need talented players, players that will actually enjoy playing this game. Some of our most gritty and hard working players were foreigners like Davids, Mandzukic or Montero. You cant build Italian core atm because there is obvious shortage of talent in Italy. And we wont be doing that if our intentions are to win.

We were coached by a rookie. Didnt lose Scudetto because they had few more Italian players. U need to get that notion out of your head.

Id love to believe that, but what is the evidence supporting that in recent years?

Gritty players giving their all on the pitch while also having high quality:
- Vidal
- Cuadrado
- Lictsteiner
- Ligt
- Buffon
- Pepe
- Barzagli/Chiellini maybe
- Ronaldo
- Tevez

Well nobody who says that we need more Italians will claim that we shouldnt buy any foreign players at all. That would be a stupid thing to say. Obviously there are very loyal and great foreign players as Lichtsteiner and Trezeguet were, and also some guys who did great for the few years they were here like Tevez.

If we look to our squad as it is today, we have 2 old defenders, a meme player with Bernardeschi and Chiesa who's great obviously. Pinsoglio is mostly used because he's homegrown. For the biggest club in Italy.. well, its not a lot.

There's been a awful generation with indeed to many Italian players below level to play for this club for a long time, but that changed. S4tch already posted a list with some interesting names, I wont repeat the same stuff.

And to be honest I dont think that its just Juventus who should do this, I think that every big club has some moral obligation to invest in (young) players from their country. Dont overdo it, but there definitely should be a balance. That balance is lost here, with some good options on the market to restore it.

No Mandzukic? :disagree:

And what does “maybe” Barzagli/Chiellini mean? They were amongst the very best CBs in the world, and both grinta personified.

Although we could have had a pretty amazing young Italian core started if Tootsie hadn’t fucked up on getting Barella. Barella, Chiesa, Locatelli (assuming we get him) would be a nice start.

I think Barella only wanted Inda so hard to blame Tici for that. Also there actually were some strong links of our interest when he was initially breaking through at Cagliari.

I doubt he would have said no to the biggest club in Serie A by a country mile if we had made a competitive offer both to Cagliari and salary-wise to the player, especially since we needed CMs when he was sold

I think he would have, his preferred destination was Inda. Perhaps it could have been a different scenario if we offered a more enticing financial package than Inda to both the player and the club but I'm still not sure, he seemed pretty set on going to Inda.
