Allegri''s Juve did? 3-0 against Barcelona, 3-1 against Real
Really?

We were quite bad in group stages when our impressive victory came against Malmo. We were struggling with plenty of opponents and very often our 1:0 display was on when we laid back and defended it. We even struggled against Monaco. In that season we had Vidal, Pogba, Marchisio, Tevez and others.

In the other season we managed to trash Dinamo but later on we did better. We had a worse team but we did better. People laugh at Higuain but he was our most effective player with 36 goals/assists.

People tend to forget many matches where we underperformed since people have tendency to have higher emotions towards the past. There was a reason plenty of people wanted to see Allegri go.

Do people think Agnelli will go back to Allegri? He chose a rookie without coaching license last Summer over going back to Allegri.

If people want Pirlo gone, then our hope lies in Zidane getting boot this Summer, which is highly unlikely. Agnelli wanted him last Summer but there were no chances for this to happen.

It will be Pirlo for another year. A total collapse in Serie A would be needed for him to get fired IMO.
Most importantly, why would Zidane want to coach a poorly constructed team WITH limited budget?

He has better options or else he could just take a sabbatical and choose his next club wisely.

Bollocks. On our way to final we put 3 past Porto, 3 past Barca, 4 past Monaco. How exactly did we struggle against Monaco when we won the tie on aggregate 4-1? And you claimed we defended 1-0, while results show that statement is completely false.

I'm talking about different season when we had a better team. We had Vidal, Pogba, Marchisio, Tevez and others.

We won 1:0 with a penalty and other match was 0:0. It was 1/4.

2014/15 season, a team was trying to get their confidence back after only a year before we got eliminated by Galata. We went to final that season, which no one expected so if were on the back of 1-0 results, no one really cared. In a seasons that succeeded we played more comfortably.

And you tend to have some weird ass bias to act like the past was far worst than it was.

Half the team was sick with flu during those Monaco matches. Pogba was also out injured lol.

Good try though, with the nonsense. People wanted to move on from Allegri because of the last season exclusively. That’s it. He lost the plot a bit and was getting in endless fights with the media. It was a bad look. He’s had a couple years off now to recover from 5 wild years and contemplate his next step and any changes. We hire him again, he’ll take us to glory if management supports him. Simple as that

That same team got humiliated a year before. We couldnt beat 10 men Benfica side at our venue. Allegri brought it to final. Nitpicking much?

At the end of the day, like I said numerous of times, I'd easily take Allegri because what we have right now is a disaster.

I do rate him. My posts are misread quite often apparently. I even asked for him not so long ago. But I couldn't and can't see Allegri as our permanent fix and I guess that's the difference.

Yeah those last few months he really messed up and divorce seemed inevitable. He can come back now :)
Agnelli is happy paying €1.8M net to Pirlo and wait for his thesis take shape on the football pitch than having another expensive coach on the payroll.

Ik, not happening, not getting my hopes up. Then again Lippi returned after moving to inter... And Max and Agnelli parted on good terms, former never saying a bad thing these last 2 seasons about us. He had gazillion opportunities to hit us back but he remained cool.

That’s fair enough, man. I just don’t see how anyone can reasonably claim Allegri could never win in Europe considering how close he came twice with two very different sides, that were inferior to the opponents we faced.

I’m perfectly happy to go for someone like Zidane, and dependent on what we have to spend in summer mercato the next couple years, even Klopp if we can afford to build him the team he’d want. So our thoughts here aren’t that far off. I just see a fresh and rejuvenated Max with a couple years sabbatical as a great option too.

The thing people need to understand is that sacking Pirlo puts Agnelli in a very weak position given he took a huge gamble and hired him in the first place. He'd look foolish.

That's why i can't take seriously anyone thinking Pirlo won't be given at the very least a second season.

Yeah, as long as he qualifies for the CL he gets another shot. Its meant to be transition season.

:agree:
Only way it doesn’t happen is if we miss top 4 and are out of CL next year. If he finishes top 4, he’ll be back next season, just on a shorter leash I would imagine. If Max doesn’t take a job this summer, he’ll be hired midseason next year if Pirlo falters again.

I hope we support Pirlo on the transfer market this summer. While his tactics are a bit of a mess, they clearly require a far more competent midfield and he’s not versatile enough to adjust to deal with our lack of one. If we provide him with that this summer, I could see our next season being a decent one under him, allowing him to give us a better idea of his abilities as coach

If that's the case then Agneli shouldn't be on his position. You can't put your pride above clubs need of improvement. That's not great leadership, it's only a huge ego.

You do what's necessary to succeed. Sticking to your mistakes won't get you far. That logic is amazing only for self destruction, in this case club destruction.

Which is exactly why this remaining 2 months will make or break Pirlo's coaching career at Juve.

If there are definite signs of improvement, we will surely stick with him but if things go horribly wrong, then he's getting the sack no matter what.

I do still believe we have enough in the tank to finish top 3 though which means Pirlo remains for another year atleast.

Absolutely, the delusion that changing Allegri to someone else would suddenly make us play joga bonito while we rolfstomp all our opponents 5-0.
