I really feel like what everyone has been saying about Max is true. I love him and I still want him as our coach, but I feel like he is too scared to bench players like Mandzukic, Buffon, Chiellini and Barzagli.

Given he is our coach next year, I hope he makes these adjustments and plays those who deserve to play instead of experience or seniority.
That's funny cause he has benched Barzagli a lot this year for Benatia, Mandzukic too and he sure has no problem benching our prince Marchisio for just about anyone. Not sure how you can think he is scared to bench senior players.
What coach wouldve consistently motivated and achieved the results we have despite chopping and changing half the squad every year?
Very few

Well, Beppe said he is staying 100%.

Here is my 2 cents on that...

...if Beppe is so confident that Max will be here next year, I can't help but wonder if Max is telling them he wants more of a say in the market hence the agreement?

I kind of doubt our management would agree to that and i wouldn't fault them for that approach either. A coach has short term goals, he isn't going to be here five years from now while the club is buying for the future. Manchester City can afford to buy anyone Pep wants and if they are duds ditch them and buy more next season. We can't.

According to transfermarkt, mandzukic has had 27 apps in serie a and Barzagli has had 21 in serie a.

That is alot even if those apps include sub appearances. Also I am referring to players like Chiellini, and Buffon as well. Marchisio is not included in that because Marchisio has been marginalized all season when he is someone we could have used a lot more.

How do you guys know we could hav used him a lot more when Allegri is the one who sees him play every day in training? Marchisio is a solid player but it’s not like we’re talking about someone like Modric here.

I just think that Marchisio would have made a difference in certain instances, from the glimpses from this season, Marchisio still has some things to offer to this team. Like you said though Allegri sees the players on a daily basis, so he knows more.

I don't get your point. Marchisio doesn't count as benching a big player because he has been benched all season?

My point is Marchisio is not an undisputed starter much like Chiellini, Mandzukic, Buffon, and Cuadrado(prior to his injury) are.
But thats partially because he is never fit. He is an undisputed big and influential figure for the side though. Benching him for extended periods, when fit, is certainly no small deal.

What? We can say it's not embarrassing because we went blow-for-blow with Barcelona for 90 minutes. The first 20 minutes sucked as our players were very tentative, but after that everything about that performance was worth praising, including Allegri's tactics.

Real Madrid was a disaster. But it also doesn't help that the team just couldn't get their shit together. Players couldn't get their touches right, it was pathetic. Alves and Bonucci were 2 of the worst players on the pitch in that game. So let's not act like they were at their best in that match just because they were in previous matches in the knockouts.

And yes, I hold Allegri responsible for part of that, but it's laughable to suggest a coach who may have led us to 4 straight domestic doubles after this year, 2 CL finals, and has never been knocked out in the CL by a team that's not a clearly bigger team than us, while also coaching the only team to beat Real Madrid in the last 4 years, and also to spank Barcelona last year... it's laughable to suggest it's Allegri that is holding us back, considering Marotta sells half his star players each summer.
I had a shitload of stuff to write as response but weekend was busy as fuck and now there's no point since Beppe confirmed he'll stay.

Don't think much is gonna change, we won't buy big names that make a difference on the big stage, and I don't really see big tactical improvements next season. We'll still start off slow and underwhelming, we still won't have a proper attacking system like all the best teams around, our defense since its been dismantled will continue this path of conceding way too many goals to the most stupid teams but I'm sure he'll do his best with the players he'll get.

Just really think he took us as far as he could in the CL.

What is this “conceding goals to stupid teams” thing you’re talking about? Tottenham and RM are some of the best attacking teams out there and far from stupid. As for the last game, Benevento has nothing to lose, they’re gonna play hard and take risks. Besides that, we had barely conceded all season long.
