Yeah, that was a good decision, but it took him long enough.

Now we need to buy Torreira in January.

Although knowing Max he'll probably still start Khedira against Madrid or PSG.

Our biggest issue going into the 2nd half of the season imo is that 3rd midfielder

Wish somehow either Marchisio recovers his old form and stays fit or Bentancur somehow explodes

The only reason Allegri keeps picking Khedira is for his physicality. I saw someone post the other day that Khedira is great at making vertical runs... I'm sorry he's even struggling to control the ball properly at times and his running style is almost reminding me of Amauri. I still remember when Amauri used to run like a wounded guy on the pitch. Gave a slow motion feel to it just like Khedira.
By Feb end, if Khedira still a starter for us, then we are in huge trouble.

I'm still in favor of this 4-3-3 and hope we continue using this formation.

Thought we signed Matuidi for physicality.
Khedira is getting minutes cause he was starter last season and he is german international and wc winner. As in that kind of rep makes him hard to bench for Allegri.

You should show us a passing map from lets say 2015 season because that was also with Allegri at the helm and back than we actually had probably the best midfield in Europe so ofc our game was more incisive through the middle, i just dont see how can you really compare todays Juve who’s strength is on the wings to the 2011 Barca that had Messi as a fake 9 with Xavi and Iniesta pulling the strings in midfield....

I was making the point that we need to improve our midfield play, and I used it to compare our passing map to.

433 is a step in the right direction. The next step is to buy a new midfielder and drop passenger Khedira.

I never said that I wanted us to play like Barcelona 2011, the point I was trying to make is that we don’t have any midfield when we play 4231. You don’t have to compare us to Barcelona 2011, just compare us to 2017 Real Madrid, PSG, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, etc... they all circulate the ball much better than we do when we play 4231. You can easily notice this just by watching, but our passing map confirms it.

I’m using this as an argument to why:

1. We need to switch to 433
2. We need to buy a more mobile midfielder than Khedira in the winter.

A conclusion based on a sample size of 1 (lol) out of a plethora of games. That's something.

And in that sample size of one, makes sense that we targeted their poor FBs. And our CBs always hold a deep line (they're not as good with a high line) even when we press.
