If anyone calls Allegri a conservative, defensive coach, I just can't take your football opinions seriously. How can a person watch this sport and see the tactics of virtually every team in the world, where they defend with a minimum of 9 players (1 striker formation). And then they watch Allegri's team, that defends with only 8, where Dybala and Higuain rarely ever make a tackle in their own half. And then they call him conservative and defensive.
When you watch every team, game in and game out, with multiple players on the pitch known for winning the ball back. And there is Allegri, usually only with Matuidi on the field. And he is defensive?
This guy played 3-4-1-2 in the CL later stages last year. He had Alves roflcoptering around as an attacker. If anything, we got smashed by Madrid because we were too attacking. We needed more players in midfield and Allegri decided to defend them with only 8.
I'm sorry but there's no other way to say it. If you see a team with Dybala/Higuain with full license to maraud around the field, there is no way you can call that coach defensive. No defensive coach would allow this in a million years.
