Wasn't he being used on the left (where he doesn't like to play) when he actually used to start games? Then he got benched. Is it really his fault for being out of form now?

you of all people. I'll remember this when Marotta makes the smallest of mistakes in the future. And sorry, disagree. He had one horrible match, which was yesterday, and before that a bunch of matches being played off position. Pyshically there's nothing that suggests that he had a reason to lose form apart from being separated from a partner that serviced him all the time (Tevez) and again being played as a winger, so it's not like his talent just went away. You and a bunch of people here are being WAY too harsh on him and just choosing to forget what he can do on the big stage.

Two pure CFS
Truth is we fucked up this mercato, no matter how you look at it. I love Dybala (and think he's adapting well as a secondary striker) but he is a CF and I'll bet whatever you want can perform 10 times better when played deeper. We already had Morata (mind you a guy who put on amazing performances against the best teams in the world, clutch as fuck) then we got 2 more CFs in Mandz and Zaza, no SS, nada.
Then to try and make it work, we push our best AND main striker to partner with another player who shares the same fundamental role, what a surprise!! it doesn't fucking work. Then still trying to fit him in the team we force him to play a winger role. Doesn't work either. :howler
SURE, Hustini and the likes. Let's shit on Morata.

Does Marotta choose who to start and what position? No. Allegri is the one who's forcing him on the wings.

Criticism is fair, when its about his form, and that he has to get his stuff togheter

We played well yesterday, both teams did. It was a good game of football.
There was nothing wrong with the tactics or the starting lineup. We did enough to win or at least draw, but Morata's finishing let us down. Had his first sitter gone in in first half, it would have been game over.
Allegri couldn't have made any more subs either (probably the silliest complaint out of all the odd ones). His options were Neto, Rugani, and three youth players.
The result is frustrating, but the only thing you can really complain about is Morata's finishing. It was probably nerves and a lack of confidence after being benched (he's usually clutch though), so I'm not mad at him, but I'm disappointed. Sure but needless to say he is out of sorts. If he can manage to pull himself out of the hole and lead like he did all last season then fantastic. Our team has changed as CK said he doesn't have Tevez next to him to make it all easier. But the new guys are stepping up, isn't it usually the other way around? It appears he doesn't respond well to the pressure.
