Roumor has it that a London based group called MSI with close connections to wealthy Russian oligarchs has the rights to the contracts to Mascherano, Tevez, Vagner Love and more, and that Abramovich was seen was seen dining with River Plate's president at the time of Tevez's transfer, his yacht was docked there for 22 day.

Rumour also has it that Abramovich is to buy a part of Corinthians, so it seems he's creating a South American feeder club for Chelsea.
That's damn smart of Abamovich,if it turns out to be true. Sooo American Capatalist type monopoly, better yet, why doesn't he buy all the football clubs in the world, then u have Chelsea as Eternal World Champions! :D

But I don't see us buying anybody else in January really, probably buy back part-ownership (hopefully Chillieni) But that doesn't look like its gonna happen. So I guess we're just gonna have to talk about transfers during the off season.

Thats the thing, its fairly obvious that we need more creativity, not another ball winner like Mascherano. He might be better on the ball than Blasi, however that remains to be seen. I have not seen much of Javier however the ratings I hear about him are pretty high. I guess if the ratings prove true than he would be a good signing, and our midfield would be very difficult to break down. I suppose Mascherano is better than nothing.
he is the argentine version of emerson, imo attacking a bit better, defending a bit weaker (who can match Il Puma in defending?!)

he was the most important player of the Argentine olimpic team, he orchestrated both defend and attack.
he and Emo would be the best midfield pair in the word, they could be a bit better imo than Jugovic-Deschamphes were,

btw buying Masche would mean more creativity, as he and Emerson are both capeable to attack or defend, so one of the two could join the attack, while the other stays back. Now paired with Blasi, it is only possible against smaller teams, as only Emerson is good enough to go forward and Manulle is not so reliable (tough he is developing).

nb: (against Brescia, Emerson gave the ball to Zlatan in both occassions)

and

he could play in cl too

Fiorentina want our Appiah, and the negations are in place. Appiah and Fiorentina have agreed. Capello will only agree though, if Moggi gets Capello a new central midfielder. Thus Moggi is working to get Mascherano.

Well, we can only hope Moggi succeeds in bringing Mascherano...

A swap deal between Maresca and Appiah wouldn't be bad either, but that won't happen.

Juve Set Sights On Mascherano

After Appiah’s recent failings with Juventus, the Bianconeri are looking for a midfielder to add onto their squad during this January transfer window.
River Plate’s Javier Mascherano is now being touted as the player on top of Capello’s wish list.

In order to sign the player, the Biacooneri must beat Inter and Chelsea’s stiff competition.

If the deal gets completed, Appiah will need be sold in order to free up a non-EU spot on the Juve squad as Mascherano does not yet own a European passport.
