So this is a done deal???

I think Mascherano is exactly what the team needs. He offers more than Blasi, Appiah and Tacchinardi. With Appiah most likely leaving, it leaves one short.

Mascherano and Emerson is a great midfield duo, but it does still seem as though the team will lack creativity from the middle. I'm hoping Capello goes a little more adventurous and tries them behind a playmaker.

I downloaded a game with him a couple weeks ago. Its ALL ive seen of him, so I guess its to early for me to say that he's got great playmaking skills etc. But he played really well, both created chances and won the ball in midfield. And I got some friends over there who's rates him top5 of all players from south america.

I'll see if i can find the url and share with ya boys.

a done deal??

creativity? get riquelme
I want Riquelme too!!! he is just great. Really underrated. He would add that little extra in our midfield. Okay, he isnt so fast, but he is fast in his head. He is like Totti sometimes. He can foresee things and he is several steps ahead of the rest on the pitch. He has great Technical abilities too and good passes. He is good with Freekicks and has a good shot. I hope we sign him. I know he wasnt so good in Barcelona, but who was at that time? Puyol?

I think we could offer them Tacchinardi and some cash for Riquelme. They owe us for loaning Davids who rescued their season!

the central attacking midfielder will be Meghni, dont't forget. That transfer will be made official in this summer i promise you !

So I don't think we need mascherano, because blasi is as good as he is. we should spend the 15Mio for a central defender (Chivu,Bonera) and a Rightback (Maicon,Bonera,Miguel) !

I hear this guys good too but unless he can add something offensively, I dont think we should spend that money on him. We have ball winners in Blasi Tacchi and Emerson.

Our game play wouldn't change much, it'd be the same as Blasi Emerson, but maybe a bit better. I think Olivera played well in midfield he should be given a chance to start there.

I guess the problem is our lack of coverage, we don't have many to substitute our flanks if Olivera is played center.

actually, i think we lack an extra midfielder who is able to defend well and still give quality passes in midfield. Blasi, tacchinardi and appiah all lack that and Mascherano in my opinion is a future star in the making.

as for creativity, Olivera isnt too bad at all if given the chance. but the only way a creative midfielder will start in capello's midfield is if he changes formation, and i dont think this will happen yet.

but is he worth the 12million or some euros? I mean how much did Zlatan cost us, but we needed to enforce our offense. Right now I think we need to invest on defense more than midfield, better to spend the money on a quality young defender who can improve alot from training with canna and thuram.

well, the likes of Real Madrid and many others were offering the cash for him. Moggi has to start thinking about the future and if that means spending a little, its time he does so.

We have missed out on so many plyers who could have been useful to the team in the past few seasons because they were 1. young and from south america which means they were a risk and 2, they costed 5 million too much.

its time Moggi starts delivering the young stars. no more cheap no ones from serie B who never see Turin while being owned by the club. D'Alessandro, riquelme, aimar, tevez, cavenaghi...all highly rumoured to juve at one stage, and none joined.

hey, one thing, wasnt salas part of this deal? so is it cheaper or was that the result?

Nnice Pics

He does look a bit bulky, I wouldn't consider fat really, Ailton's fat!

hmm, doesn't look like a strong fighter. But hell, he could be a great signing if we get him.
