That's what I've been saying all along, and that's why I was surprised by the news to be honest.
Yes, some members there are opposed to letting him go and thinks this will be the year where he will explode :D with the presence of Lassana Diarra. He highly rated but he also seems like a hot head. Late partying, not putting the necessary work.
Another fun fact is that accoring to them, Gourcuff apparently resigned from Lorient because Lemina promised him he will stay and then the next day he signed for L'OM.

Vidal wasn't Vidal when we signed him, although he was very good and far further developed than Lemina, who doesn't seem to have any of that offensive upside. But if we are looking at someone to break up play and move the ball he looks fine, he might even turn out very good.
Agreed. Vidal was a bit loose on the cards if I recall but that was curbed quickly so hopefully this kid follows suit. I do like how he moves the ball quickly and distributes the play. I think he will slot in nicely with the physical play in Italy. That said, he needs to be careful with the theatrics of the other players.

Watched him vs Juve. He bossed the midfield. He's aggressive like Sturaro but more technical. Love this signing if it goes through.
This is a good signing.
Great. We seem to be almost all on board.

Now for that AM :D

Sounds like someone who might randomly decide he wants to join Bayern as soon as they are interested.

SELL! Wait...DON'T BUY!

Do Marseille actually want Isla and De Ceglie in a loan exchange? Surely Beppe has some dirt on their GM or something?

people don't understand. if we get this guy and i really hope. our team looks so fuckin' physical and young and with so much pace and still with so much flair. chiellini and licht will be the only players without technical and passing flair.

Is Lemina a good enough passer/disciplined enough to play in the middle of the midfield three i.e. a backup for Marchisio in the Pirlo role?

Ya, Gourcuff was incensed at the management for selling Lemina. He made quite the fuss at the time, a lot of reports have said that was the beginning of the end for Gourcuff at Lorient, because the management had apparently sold Lemina behind Gourcuff's back.

There was a lot of hype, but like you say he doesn't have the best attitude, which is probably what's held him back. Ability wise, the guy is really good defensively, so he obviously is a prospect. For some reason he reminds me of M'Vila though :D I mean that guy was a monster in Ligue, until his attitude problems got the better of him and he's never reached the heights he was supposed to reach.

I can understand Marseille fans frustrations though, they just sold Imbula, making this season Lemina's chance to shine. But now the management has decided to sell him too /

From what i've seen, read about him, he could play as a backup to Marchisio, he's decent enough passer and a great phyisical presence in the MF. He could also play as CM ( wich i think will be his best position )
