Borriello is not at fault here, he was very careful on anything he said and i was very pleased of his comments.
Whats disgusting is the way he was presented by tuttosport and other Italian media and the reporters questions also reflect that the interest on the player is heavily bonded with those NT caps and perspective.
It is not Borriello's fault that he is a mediocre Italian players who opts to play for his NT.
On the contrary, thats a healthy ambition, i admire and respect personally.
Its our managers fault though that they are giving priority on the fact that he has the Italian nationality and some NT caps and nothing beyond there...
This comes in line with the bigger banner that was carried by our fans, the one that criticized the transfer, mostly giving the blame on Marotta, rather than the ones the reporters chosen to outline for the interview and has to do with the usual crap thrown on every merk, regardless of quality and nationality.
Play, no? He cant play
But he is a forward and forwards are expected to create spectacle with their offensive attempts.
This is the reason we are keep giving priority, most of our budget and attention and bringing new forwards in each and every transfer window, in the past 6 years... (and CMs, for similar reasons)
