He clearly said it and meant it....notice the little delay before he said it, as if he was contemplating whether to say it or not. He probably said it in the hope of getting onside with the Hardcore Juventini who hate his guts.

Props to him for trolling the journalists and Bilanisti.

He has ambition, he seems determined to bounce back, eager to play and prove his value after a long pause.
He has convinced himself that he is one of Italy's greatest strikers and that he can score 15 goals/6months so def +20/season.
He is motivated against Bilan and the current Roma board/coach.
He has already accepted a subs role.

Lets see what he can do, imo showing glimpses of champion potential means nothing for a player of his age, maybe wasted potential, but nothing more.
He is highly inconsistent and imo, not as clinical as he thinks he is.
He is no more mercenary than Zlatan and for his criticism should be on his lack of consistency mediocre performances.
If he is unavailable for medical or ethic reason, just one day in the next 6months, we should not buy him.

The nationalistic enthusiasm for NT caps was there, as expected and it has confirmed my point for the actual reasons of this acquisition
(once again i was proven right for what i said on Tevez thread)

The nationalistic enthusiasm?

You mean the fans putting banners that they did not welcome him?

No i mean the questions about NT caps and the possibility to get more NT call ups...
like this is more important than his performances with us, but it seems that it is for our fans and management, who put their nationalism over our interests...

Ah yes, Borriello is just another of those Italian signings to please the fans.

The fans not being pleased (disclaimer: massive understatement) with this signing is just a minor detail. Don't let that divert you from the usual rambling.

i dont know about you, but i m happy when i see that our fans are not that stupid as our board thinks they are...
just some flicks and an occasional goal of a NT should not always do...
But we will see what will prevail in the end, the logic or nationalism of our fans...

Just watched the interview. I liked it. I'll still stay sceptical about him and hope he gives his best for us.

Well he did say something along the lines of "lets take one step at a time. I want to learn the mentality of the squad" when asked again about the NT. So he's putting the club ahead of his NT ambitions.

Borriello is not at fault here, he was very careful on anything he said and i was very pleased of his comments.
Whats disgusting is the way he was presented by tuttosport and other Italian media and the reporters questions also reflect that the interest on the player is heavily bonded with those NT caps and perspective.
It is not Borriello's fault that he is a mediocre Italian players who opts to play for his NT.
On the contrary, thats a healthy ambition, i admire and respect personally.
Its our managers fault though that they are giving priority on the fact that he has the Italian nationality and some NT caps and nothing beyond there...

This comes in line with the bigger banner that was carried by our fans, the one that criticized the transfer, mostly giving the blame on Marotta, rather than the ones the reporters chosen to outline for the interview and has to do with the usual crap thrown on every merk, regardless of quality and nationality.

Play, no? He cant play:(
But he is a forward and forwards are expected to create spectacle with their offensive attempts.
This is the reason we are keep giving priority, most of our budget and attention and bringing new forwards in each and every transfer window, in the past 6 years... (and CMs, for similar reasons)

You are delusional. I don't even bother reading your big posts any more but this part always manages to stick out.

I'd like to believe that it wasn't his choice to reject Juventus for Roma.

€8m will be a lot for someone that might get about 5 starts from now until summer.
