So I've heard there's an interest in starting another round of mafia! I was planning on starting on January 4th, but since this got lost in the shuffle and we need to be sure of rules before we start then I can push that date back if desired.

It has been debated as to whether the Detective gets to use his power on the first day, please leave your thoughts here so we can make a firm decision.

Also if there are any other concerns about the rules, now's the time to get them out there.

Voting will need to be from 12:00-24:00 CET if you want my constant presence during the game, but if that truly does not work for people then we can put it back to the normal time knowing that I won't be awake until 12:00ish.

And I think that's about it, so let's have at it people.

Till when can the jailer sent the jail request? when do the G's have to sent their whacking request.
Can the D invest and blaze the gun on the same day?

I think you should set a deadline for the jailer because the jailer shouldn't be able to sent his jailrequest 5 min for the deadline?
and the players has to know too when the jail is empty
so something about 3 hours for deadline as max.

The Detective has the right to investigate on the first day. Just last night I was watching ID on Discovery channel and Detective gets to investigate from day 1. So why not apply it here if it's applied in our daily lives .

I would definitely play, but let us know the date to confirm if I'll be able.

One suggestion...it's not too important when does the voting start, so Kate should make the vote opening whenever it suits her. But the voting deadline is really important. Imo, 00:00 CET is too late. That's 2:30 am for Hoori and 3:00 or 3:30 am for the other middle-easterners or the Indians. Imo it's too late.

22:00 CET proved to be a nice timing for the deadline, so if it suits Kate I guess we should keep it.

Problem is our weekends and your weekends are different. I usually cannot be on around deadline time on Thursdays and Fridays.
