Since we've had more casual racism than we'd had sign-ups, postponement will likely have to happen. If it's not tomorrow or the next day, then I will likely have to wait until Tuesday.

The detective can't investigate on the original day one.
But all the games played lately start with day two where, of course, the detective can investigate. The detective can't investigate on day one means the day one where you can't vote, whack, do anything yet.
Since for some reason we keep playing without this "day one", on which only accusing was possible without special roles, you can just ignore it.

Sounds like a plan, skip day one and go straight to the whacking/investigating. There really isn't much one can do on the first day anyway...might as well make it interesting.
