Not 100% sure about the timeline. But I remember the Lukaku rumor had died down before UEFA announced their decision of kicking us out of Conference League. And just about two or three days after that numerous sources (including reliable ones like Romano and Schira) started reporting on the swap deal.

Then it could really be the case that the ban changes the club's strategies in the transfer market. Allegri thinks he might have a chance to win Scudetto without having to participate in Europe competition. Once again he can't help his fetish about over-the-hill experienced champion players that could bring him the title. And that's why we were linked to Lukaku again.

Anyway it's only a guess.
Nah, we just need money and we are whoring every player on the market. They noticed some interest from Chelsea (which is also desperated to get rid off Lakaka) and jumped on it, but probably nothing will come out of it in the end.

So in his case, if he is against Allegris approach, he is most likely waiting until there's been enough time where he can tell the board "see, I worked with him and gave him time, but it didn't work".
The safe way to do this is loan with option to buy players allegri wants. We have the upperhand in this in lukaku and kessie case. Their club want to get rid of them. Offer the club enough money for example chelsea up to 10mil. loan fee to lure them to accept the loan. I think it's safer as they will be gone if we don't need them anymore.

Buying them would be disaster for him as he will be forced to offload deadwood with no resale value. Same old shit again.

I wonder what Inter fans thought of Lukaku two seasons ago when he was serie A player of the year? If Lukaku plays well, the majority of the fanbase will pivot, as they always do, good or bad.
He might come good if he comes ,but he has issues that tend to show that we are going to drop money in a hole without an end.
- seems injury prone now and with our staff he seems guaranteed to miss a good chunk of the season;
-motivation - he thrived with a good motivator(Conte) , which Allegri isn't by a long shot;
-comes with a huge salary ,probably his last payday - not much motivation in striving to improve or to actually give a for another big contract, especially if JJ gives him a big contract.
The only upside that I see is if we can have lukaku+60-70 million for Vlahovic , which would be invested in other areas of the pitch and theoretically not downgrading cause DV7 hasn't lit the world on fire in his time here.

To be fair Lukaku isnt a bad player he just isnt that great. The problem is we insist on looking at has beens (and IMO he has never really been to begin with).
He has certain qualities and I think at some point he was probably among the 10 best strikers in the world.

But when was the last time he was in shape? Must have been the 2020-21 season. And he's 30 now and I just don't see him work hard. I probably like him more than most here, but if it was up to me I'd never ever consider him right now. It would be an inexplicable move.

Send Milik on loan and get Lukaku on loan.

But we probably don't have a dime so we'll sell either Chiesa or Vlahovic.

PSG getting Ramos from Benfica. Chelsea need to offload Lukaku because they're going to make a move for M'Bappe. They want him for a year on massive wages. M'Bappe might just do it rather than ride the bench at PSG.
