So anyways... Samardzic anyone? Or we wait till we get outpriced there too?

Sad thing is we'll probably over pay for someone and as injury prone as Partey

Partey is not injury prone, I posted his very modest injury history twice in this forum. Why is this false narrative being repeated lol

We are going after a player who already made bank, doesn't want to come here and whose whole game is grinta centered but now 0 fire in his belly. Sound like a solid plan...
I believe signing him is a good move. He's experienced, knows the league, young (around 27), and shows ambition to prove himself by wanting to get out of Barca. Our midfield needs both physicality and brains to compete for the league title this year. But I understand the concern due to past deals. It could go either way, but I think it’s worth the gamble.

That's a possibility, the decline itself. Father time catches all (tho for Vidal it was life style and severe knee injuries before he was 30). But there is no need to harp on injury process when he was only out for couple months in one season.

It's not a real reason to be doubtful imo. Age or salary is one thing, but no real basis to be scared for injuries. For me the only reason to be wary of the signing would be age coupled with positional need. He is holding DM regista. Signing him might limit Rovella/Fagioli minutes alot with Allegri. Partey better than them now. But I want us to build on them more in non CL season, and get another type of CM.

B2b like Kessie who both of them can play with Kessie.

Also Kessie is 3-4 years younger, Serie A tested and more worth the gamble imo (tho for me as a player Partey reached a higher peak).

Lololol, so 2 completely random examples is 'proof' now?

Even more so he doesn't account the style difference (and the previous mentionned injury difference), Kante and Vidal are or were extremely mobile duracell bunnies, hard working tackling CMs who cover tons of ground. Those types rely more on their athleticism and physique.

Partey is more traditional holding DM, sits infront of defence, passes and breaks attacks. Doesnt require as much mobility.

it's about the reasons why people don't want kessié

the way i see it:
- he's a good player, we could use him
- his motivation might be an issue, if he wants to play in england then we shouldn't bother
- his age isn't an issue, turk as so often is chasing shadows
- his salary is an obvious issue

:boh:
he's ugly as fuck too. looks like human version of predator.

we need hasmums. last season was good with bremer and fagioli. more of these please.

is that what the rags told ya?

Giuntoli straight up said the incoming mercato is closed for now and theyre focused on sales. But that doesnt generate clicks.
He would say that though. Directors usually say one thing and then do another. They don't want to draw too much speculation.

It's called wear and tear and physical midfielders suffer them quicker. But what would you know you claim full backs and wing back is the same position and you know this because you play football with 10 year old kids down the park every week.
It's called cherry picking. And I never said it's the same position but I know comprehensive reading is quite hard for most.

But to use you logic; 2 natural wingbacks like Dani Alves and Marcelo showed wingbacks can fill in as fullbacks perfectly fine.
