It is a loan + option or obligation?

He's a solid player (also our midfield is trash), but he's nothing special. Still, he will do well in Snorie A. However, giving him those wages, if true, is ridiculous.

nothing reliable yet, spanish sauce i posted said option, some other said obligation

what gordo said is also important: if the guy wants to play in the pl then we shouldn't even bother offering 2m net. 7m would be the 2nd highest wage after pogba (and on par with rabiot and vlahovic if he stays) at current jj, and we'd give it to a player who'd decide 0 to 2 matches? hard pass

he was on 6.5m at Barca, would 7m proposal from Juve really be a surprise?
who said surprise? i said we shouldn't bother and it's unnecessary

7m is star wages at this current jj, reserved to those who are supposed to carry the team and be decisive. pogba and vlahovic don't deserve it, last year's rabiot earned it, based on his career kessié is overpaid already, jj should avoid these contracts

Just shows how fucked up Italy is when 7 mill for a top EPL team, Barca/Real Madrid/Bayern is not even the highest wage bracket.
For all of those clubs Kessie would be 5th-10th best paid player on the team. Given how our revenue compares to them perhaps we shouldnt be having so many high paid players in our squad.

quite the number of assumptions there.
He certainly doesn't want to come here. Why would he leave barca to join this sinking ship? If he's forced out he only has one destination on his mind and that's England. We are an unattractive club for these kind of players now, that's the reality.

100% agreed and what I've been saying since we got linked to him

except from the part that 7m at this current jj is reserved for players who carry the team, the reality is that nowadays most of them are either deadwood or mediocre, but it's not something we should strive to continue :D

If Giuntoli signs one of Kessie or Lukaku hes no better than Tici or Bini (thats a big if but still most rumours are about those two).
Enough with washed up players on high wages no one wants expect Juve, when will they ever learn....

Either Giuntoli is working in stealth mode in the background or he just opened the Juve washed up transfer box.

What is wrong with Kessie? He is 26 and the numbers in the deal mentioned seem okay...

I think the numbers are ok if he performs at a top level, then a 7m salary (without tax relief, right? he's been abroad only a year) + 15m is a fair price. However none of the risks with him have been priced in, in case he's underwhelming or flops this is an expensive deal that'll be challenging to get rid of. Pretty similar to Rabiot deal, only this has +15m in transfer fee. Fingers crossed this goes a lot better than Rabiot.

Yeah he’s not 30 like Lukaku. But personally I didn’t like his last year at Milan and last season at Barca was decent at best.

He’d be one of juves highest paid players ( think only Pogba and Vlahovic are more expensive) and I don’t see him performing this way.
Juve has enough of overpaid non performing players.

With the clubs finances and nothing to play for next year, juve should be looking for future stars with low wages.

The problem with Kessie is that we're probably gonna find out that he's actualy something like 38 years old and then sudeenly you have a guy trying for a director position in the club and you have nowhere with him and you grant him some position like that and then you have no place for a true legend like Padoin who won like 5 Scudetti.

I'm really worried by the path this club has taken.
