Well Del Neri doesn't boast a great list of honours just like Ranieri so they are level at this, but you forget that this guy Ranieri did manage some great sides over the years like valencia and chelsea and he won nothing with them... WoW... you forget we're talking about Ranieri- mr. Runner-up... don't be fooled by the second place Roma achieved last season... he can't win anything!

Del Neri is just a poor man's Ranieri at this point. He has never achieved anything in his career so far, just getting a 4th spot with Sampdoria in the weakest Serie A in history.

If so, Ranieri's stats shows he's a better coach than Del Neri.

The point is that even though Del Neri isn't great we have nothing to be sorry about for kicking out Ranieri, because the only thing that matters in football is silverware and Ranieri wasn't going to deliver... you see i'm not saying he was a bad coach for us, but he was not Juve material...

It was right for us to sack him as his respect with the players and fans was lost at the second half of his last season with us. He was the right man for the job for building a team again after returning back to Serie A, that's it.

The problem is that after his sacking, we are still employing average managers instead of great ones who would take us to another level.

How is he much better than Ranieri?
I think both have different style about them (can't really compare they're track record cause both pretty much haven't won titles).

Ranieri is more of a cautious manager. He'll do whatever the owners will tell him to do (pretty much a weak character). I don't like his type and IMO you can't go far with him no matter how long he stays in the club.

Del neri takes more risks, a tough character (he benched Cassano last season even though he's the "star" of the team and they're main guy). Personally if i had to choose between the two i'll definitely pick Del neri over Ranieri.

Plus i really liked Del neri's Chievo team which was one of the best attacking teams in the league few years ago.

All in all, to me del neri > ranieri any day....

Well, there aren't many world-class managers avaible at this time... just Benitez was... and i'm not sure why we weren't able to lure him; so can you think of other managers that are good enough for Juve at this point? Del Neri's good for now...

I haven't seen much of Del Neri's teams to be honest. I just followed Sampdoria last season and I thought he was decent. Ranieri exceeded expectations with us when we finished 3rd and 2nd respectively in his years with us. For that I will be pleased for him.

Since Del Neri has never managed a big team throughout more than 1 season, it's difficult to compare the 2 of them. Till now, Ranieri is the better coach for me.

Benitez, Blanc or Deschamps.

Blanc was destined for the national team of France as for Didier... i don't know if he's capable of guiding Juve to the top, but i can say that i haven't seen how his OM is doing either... but i'm sure we need more than Deschamps.

We need more than Deschamps and you said Del Neri is good for now?

Deschamps' Monaco reached the Champions League Final in 2004 against Mourinho's Porto. He also won the Ligue 1 and French League Cup in his first season with Marseille.

You forget that Del Neri was more easy to get than Deschamps... it's not just "click" and we get Didier... even though i remember one interview of his and he said he would love to come back to Juve, but it's not just his choice... i don't know, let's just give more time to Del Neri he managed Juve for just two official matches yet; after the season we'll see if he stays or not.

Andy's gonna love this :D

And for people saying Del Neri>Ranieri, here goes.
Ranieri is a year younger than Del Neri (I know not much) but has in his CV the likes of Chelsea, Valencia and Juventus before he became Roma's coach. Juventus is Del Neri's first 'big' club. Ranieri might be a Mr. Runner Up, Del Neri is Mr. 'I just made it to Champions League'. No matter how you want to view it, as things stand, there's no way you can claim Del Neri is better than Ranieri. No way.
