Let's look on the bright side people; Luigi Of the Black only has a contract until 2012, which implies 2 seasons with this team. I firmly believe we can finish in the top 3 next year, partially because Serie A has become so weak, and in part due to the simple fact that logic stipulates that a season like the one we had this year occurs only once every 25-30 years!
The problem being Ranieri, Ferrara and Zacchoreni have all instilled the loser mentality in the team, the hangover cannot be overcome until a large section is rebuilt from the scratch. Its a mental barrier and it requires a coach with strong man management stills ala Fergie, Pep, Capello or Mourinho to break it.
Del Neiri would have funds but he's neither from the top brass to attract reputed players not capable of building a strong team with in a two year time period. He wont do that, even if given a five year contract its granted.
