This is a pipe dream. An absolute pipe dream.

Come on now. There is no way that someone of his status and, quite frankly, age, would want to take this project on.

Forgive me for dreaming, but I would love for Juve to get a coach who is going to be here for the long term, someone who can be their Alex Ferguson or Arsene Wenger.

Which is why I would still want either Villa Boas or Deschamps.

Haven't seen a valid reason to say no to the guy yet.

If you're saying no to Van Gaal after all the mediocre managers we've had in the past and have been linked with thus far, then I don't know what to say.

If you prefer Spalletti, may Allah help you.

One of the best coaches we could have, but there are some downsides on him as a coach, at first he isn't known to set up a decent defence and he will never play focused on results he lets his sides play beautiful football which some now and then results in losing important matches. Could be a good option, I would prefer Hiddink and Villas-Boas, over him.

Van Gaal is good but his Bayern Munich has been erratic this campaign, and they were also last season. Imagine him with our juve

It totally stuns me how people can even argue a case against Van Gaal. Ive always admired this guy, even from the day where he was the first manager i ever saw who had a pen and paper and took notes during a game.................Well that was it for me! :D

Hire this Louis Van Girl ;)

But like i said about the xmas present........Dont always get what you want.

We're still living in 2005 obviously and we still don't accept the fact that we're not who we used to be.

When Juve are rumored to be after....lets say, Mascherano, many complain, wanting a better player, while they don't seem to understand that if we don't get Masch we're not gonna get Essien and we're gonna go after Palombo.

The same case is in this thread. Those who are against signing a world class coach like Van Gaal would prefer some other world class coach, ignoring the fact that we're rarely even linked to a good coach and that if we don't get Van Gaal we will most probably get Conte or Mimmo Di Carlo.

Lets get back to reality. It says that we're a mediocre team that becomes less and less attractive for big names. When there is a chance to sign a proven name like Mascherano or Van Gaal, you take it without thinking, because the choice isn't between Mascherano and Essien or Van Gaal and Mourinho. The choice will be Mascherano or Palombo and Van Gaal or Conte.

Van Gaal is just too Dutch for an Italian team, Total Football is rubbish compared to the Italian game. Just look at how many World Cups the two countries have.

I'm not arguing his ability as a coach.

But, for as long as he has been coaching, do you really think the motivation is there to turn this team around?

maybe there is, maybe there isn't. We don't know what makes him tick. If I were a betting man, I would think that he would want to go to an enviroment that is far more stable, with more money at his disposal, and is already guaranteed CL football next year.

I want a young coach, who wants to be here for the very long haul.

I thought all those guys were mediocre for Barcelona an didn't deserve to play alongside the great Rivaldo. I actually liked Barca bakc then.
Who didn't? They were chokers by excellence back then.

if we are not going to go for a young, hungry manager then by all means Val Gaal is one of the few top coaches around that i believe would be interested in the Juve job. i don't like the man,but you cannot argue taht his record is exceptional
