Del Piero is by far my most favourite player, he always has been and it hurts me seeing how is career is right now.

but, Capello has balls, and i stand by him benching del piero. juve isnt charity, we are on top and need to stay there. zlatan and trez are better now. simple as that.

We must remember, 'change is always the hardest thing to deal with'...and at juve, it is getting like that. Del Piero on bench, old folk leaving etc...

Yup Montella had the last laugh, but this doesn't deny the fact that Capello is still a great coach. Capello's weakness is fielding players which he only trust no matter how grave the mistakes his trusted players make.

However, Don Fabio led teams like Real + Milan to win titles and he is a brilliant coach, nobody can deny this. I'm glad that he comes and guide us to our way to win our title using the "defensive" method, which is y we conceded so less goals. We r grateful that Don Fabio did a great job in leading us ot the top of the table and I hope we can win the league title + CL under his leadership.

Sadly about him being the greatest coach will be 1 of the most debatable topics in the soccer world.

I would credit King Otto or Jose Mourinho more under his category,Capello + Scolari r not too far behind too.

Yea I know that, but Mourinho's effects should be highlighted as well. How he lead Porto to win the UEFA Cup, the League Cup and the CL Cup. Capello is better than Mourinho, but to the eyes of some of the fans, they disgust Capello for some reasons which I don't feel like speaking out.

Montella a Capello mistake? I think any coach would pick the Cassano and Totti of last year over Montella any day. Montella has gotten into forrm coz Cassano has lost it ever since Capello left. Besides, Capello say talent in cassano n thought it would b neccessary to give him more playing time to progress, even if he and montella r in the same form.

So no, I don't think Capello is the type of coach to get blinded by personal fav players, Lippi did, but not Capello.

That's ridiculous, Capello is infamous for playing his favorites, how else do you explain Lima??

As for Montella, that was a giant howler and even Cap knows that. Montella is a hundred times better a forward than Totti is, it doesn't take a genius to realize that if you have a fantastic goal scorer like Montella and a half decent offensive midfielder like Totti you play Totti in midfield and Montella in attack, not Totti in attack and Montella on the bench.

Hmm, u gotta point there, forgot about Lima, but I never thought of him favouring Lima, I've just always thought it was his tactical preference, to use Lima. Capello last year to me looked like he wanted to balance his attacks by providing more defensive minded people on the pitch, thats why Totti wasn't in midfield. I don't think Totti is half decent, he plays well as offensive midfielder or upfront. They had a good offense last year, with a good flow of play. For more than half the season they were playing the best football in Italy.

I know what situation I prefer:

Lippi blindly sticking with DP - Juve finish the season third and get beaten comprehensively by Roma and Milan along the way.

or

Capello playing the players that deserve to play, and Juve are 5 points clear at the top of the table.

I don't care who plays, as long as Juve are winning then I am happy. Capello inherited a poor Juve side (last season's team was shocking) and has turned them round, he has revitalised certain players - Thuram and Camoranesi (to name 2), and Juve are getting the results.

I don't think the fans have a lot to complain about really.

When DP has played, has he taken his chance and made Capello's decision to leave him on the bench much harder? No.

If it ain't broke, then don't fix it.
