In Serie A there are very few games where Juve's trequartista will get the chance to use his pace.

In the CL games, I think there could be a strong argument for going with Pereyra as there will be more chances to break and use pace.
Exactly. Hernanes is a good serie A player. We still need that WC player if we want to take the next step up in Europe.

Knowing Inter they will stop it 5min before deadline.
Think Inter need/want to sell a player or two today, so as long as no-one comes in with good offers for their other players (D'Ambrosio, Juan Jesus, Ranocchia), Juve should be safe.

Is Guarin going to be Inter's most technically gifted midfielder this season?

They could be tough to watch.

Hard to say.

But his style suits this Juve more.

Pereyra is primarily a dribbling player, rather than one with great vision and passing.

Hernanes is more static, but technically excellent.

Given the forwards and midfielders Juve have, I think Hernanes fits better as trequartista in this side than Pereyra.

I wanted Hernanes before his Inter move. Another player who didn't quite fit the bill anymore at other clubs joining us.

Welcome Hernanes.

But doesn't a static Trequartista stand in the way of Pogba?

Dont think there will be another chance for them to get 11m for him if hes not in their plans and high wages at inter right now. Think llorente.

Unless they somehow strongly believe in the Scudetto at this stage.

So, this mercato is done. Time to get back to work for Allegri and the team. There was a lot more missing yesterday than just an AM. As if they played together the first time at all.

Exactly.

That's why I prefer him to play deeper.
Wouldn't disagree with you.

I prefer him in central midfield rather than as a true trequartista.

His best seasons came when playing in a midfield three at Lazio.

Ledesma was regista and Hernanes and someone else played in the centre with Candreva and Lulic wide.

Buffon
Licht-Bonucci-Chiellini-Sandro
Marchisio
Hernanes----Pogba
Cuadrado-Dybala
Morata

OR.

Buffon
Licht-Bonucci-Chiellini-Sandro
Marchisio
Khedira/Asamoah------Pogba
Hernanes
Dybala----Morata

No more 352
Pereyra instead of Hernanes as a starter. The 4-3-3 with Pereyra instead of Hernanes would be deadly on the counters in Europa.

Oh well, all good things must come to an end. No Scudetto party for us this year, hopefully we can at least make top 2. And also hoping this team provides a solid foundation for us to build on in the future

It could if they aren't deployed correctly.

If Pogba retains his current spot, which means he is mainly on the left half of the pitch, I'd pobably look for Hernanes to slightly favour the right side.

Now at least we know why Conte left.m
Why? Because we got Cuadrado who he demanded or because we got one of the best left backs in the world? Or an amazingly promising attacker, a battering ram like Mandzukic or the young central defender half of Europe is asking for?

There's just no pleasing some guys. The latter part of the mercato wasn't all that, but we sealed some fabulous deals before that. Your long term memory needs some exercise.
