Is he even better than Pereyra?
Hard to say.

But his style suits this Juve more.

Pereyra is primarily a dribbling player, rather than one with great vision and passing.

Hernanes is more static, but technically excellent.

Given the forwards and midfielders Juve have, I think Hernanes fits better as trequartista in this side than Pereyra.

I still have a latent hope that Schalke is taking Wolfsburg for a ride, and will sell us Drax at the last minute to screw their rivals!
yeah after Marotta and Allegri both said they knew we're not getting him, and especially after Juve fans all around the world hurled insults to him on social media, I can see it happening :D

Good point. People are making the point of him being slow but i dont think pace is what we need from our AM. Hernanes will be surrounded by pacey players he has a great left foot capable of delivering good passes and scoring from distance and thats what we need.

I like the look of the Hernanes deal.

Sure, he's not the world-beater folk were hoping for, but it's a solid signing.

I certainly feel ~11m for Hernanes is a better bet than ~32m for Draxler.

Hernanes can be useful for a few years in a few different roles and his transfer fee and wages shouldn't prevent Juve signing their top trequartista if an opportunity presents itself.

In Serie A there are very few games where Juve's trequartista will get the chance to use his pace.

In the CL games, I think there could be a strong argument for going with Pereyra as there will be more chances to break and use pace.

My main issue was when we have to hit teams on the break he's a bit too slow to carry the ball forward.Guess there are other players for that.

And finally we get some quality set piece ability after losing Pirlo and tevez

Yeah if he was a backup, not our frickin AM signing to help replace what Vidal and does Tevez. Utter failure.

Some reports say, that Hernanes deal is dependent on Eder (Inter are keen on buying him). I really hope they don't get Eder :xfinger:

Exactly.

That's why I prefer him to play deeper.
