Is he even better than Pereyra?
Difficult question. Hernanes over 90 minutes would on average be a worse player, but he will deliver more moments of magic than Pereyra over a season. The fact is that Hernanes isn't the type of AM a big club like Juventus should be buying to be a starter. Bench player? Sure.

Perhaps having more skillful players around him will make him look better. A lot of people rate Icardi around here, but he is mostly useless if he isn't shooting at goal. Having Dybala and Morata around him should make him look somewhat better. The question is how much

If he wants to pass the ball that is, something he often neglected to do at Inter, much to the chagrin of Icardi

Hernanes hahahahahaha jesus christ where have we fallen in this transfer window. Good thing that Beppe found his player, that it worthy of Juve, and doesn't costs to0 much :D :D :D :lol: And people here claiming that he is a good addition, player that shoots from everywhere on the field, and rarely finds the target. 11M for a 30 year old, that was always just a decent player, sure he is going to solve our AM problems  I predict that he is going to have a horrendous season, and next year we will be looking to off-load him, and of course nobody will want to get him, so we will be stuck with him until his contract expires.

So amazing job Beppe, you were amazing in the past 4 years, nobody can't deny that, but what have you done in this summer's transfer window is just pathetic.

Why does it matter ?
To be honest, it may have been. But I'd imagine it was more of one against Milan...
I don't blame him for trying to be a part of the rivalry right away.
Not sure it is tbh. Brazilian fans in general make a big deal about clubs thta never got relegated. To them its something to really be proud of.
It doesn't matter at all. What matters is that we got this piece of shit to sign for us.

So... Hernanes...
Not a bad player but I was expecting a much better player here (and younger)
Hernanes could play as AM CM and DM so not such a bad choice
I believe we will be buying in January

Of course it was. Understandable at the time, but it was a dig at us.
If it was a dig at anyone it was more than likely at Milan. My guess is that he took a quick look at an Inter facts page handed to him by his agent and chose one. Even so there is nothong wrong with a bit if smack talk against rival club as we say in Ireland its a bit of craic or the english say banter. People here and in Italy take this shit way too seriosuly and need to lighten up.

As back up, at 11m, shrewd solid move. At CL finalist, as starter, after a new kit deal, CL money, a Vidal sale, a Coman sale, and the losses of Pirlo and Tevez...anything but decent.

Hernanes makes sense, he can play as an AM or a cover for Marchi. Can take free kicks and corner as well. I am no big fan of him, but with so little time left, it's a move that make sense. The player is already well versed with the Italian league, don't have to worry about league acclimatization. This is a short term signing to help Allegri. Cheap price as well, I rather someone else but under the current circumstances it makes sense.
Resignation.

I mean more in the type of players we have signed, rather than their quality or value. Allegri definitely has us moving towards a highly technical team.
I'm kinda feeling the same way, and what that means is a team that's training it's guns a bit more on European rather than domestic success. I also think the constitution of this team has a better shot of winning the CL than it does the scudetto over the remaining 36 rounds only for the character and individuals rather than team spirit and grinta.

I mean we've signed much worse players on deadline day, but...this is underwhelming.

Welcome Hernanes.
Underwhelming is an understatement. We failed in key objectives.

Look how bad this mercato is

It's so bad people are saying Hernanes is a decent move.

What would everyone have said 3 weeks ago?

Not even Draxler, Hernanes instead.

Resignation.

I fear that we will never get a decent AM in his prime. Marotta just can't pull through these kind of transfers. We will have to rely on younger players developing or older rediscovering the game after joining us.
Yep. True, I think you can see that in the acquisition of Dybala, Sandro etc. we've moved from a 18-20m cap to a 30-32m cap on the so called big signings which will mostly be new talents not established ones. Marrotta is out of his depth for that kind of stuff.

Hernanes :sergio:
I think I am going to flounce this forum
My mate told me we would get Calhanoglu and instead the older uncle is coming.
Have already sent him insulting sms, please feel free too add to my frustration and I will pass it on
I thought he was referring to Ibra since you mentioned he was in Torino to say hi to old friends.

Of course it was. Understandable at the time, but it was a dig at us.
Dig or not, he's here now gotta support him.
