I just bought an old desktop computer strictly for storing my archives, and also for entertainment (movies and the odd game). Decided to go for the glacial stability offered by Debian...

I think i got a small problem. The upgrades where going on and my power went off. Now i have some problems with the splash. Any fixes or is there a way to reinstall the upgrades once more?

Well, if you lose power just as files are being written to disk you get a corrupted install of that package. Now you can fix that if you know which package it was ( :shifty: ) and try to reinstall it (ie. overwrite the partial install with a complete one).

sup fellaz..

(osdetect here)

First impressions:
- desktop looks almost entirely unchanged, which means nothing stopped working: GOOD
- fonts look sharper
- firefox more responsive/quicker
- konqueror (file manager) equally sluggish

EDIT: firefox A LOT more responsive (3.6.3)
Can you provide me a sh-files for dummies in simple steps?

I upgraded and it seems everything is working so far
