well for that too it's good, it runs well on older hardware

in fact if you have an old machine and you want to give it a few more years of life then linux is a very good choice
i understand :)..well, maybe after my win will stop working (it's days are counted..) i'll try to find a linux installation cd and give it a try

Let this forever be remembered as the day that we identified the precise breaking point in tension between Martin's Puritan upholding of humour and Linux.

That's not what I meant :lol2:

You will come and curse KDE two hours after you install it, that's what you always do. Have patience with the system, let is settle on your machine for a month or two. Fix the problems, get to know it more.

Yeah. I think I'm getting the "I want it to JUST WORK" syndrome. I'll try to find more time to start working on it.

BTW, do you have any idea on how to access Microsoft Exchange server mailbox using Evolution or any other program? I found instructions on installing Thunderbird and some other program, but I couldn't figure out how to install a .sh file correctly.

From my experience it shouldn't be more difficult than "sudo sh _______"

I have no idea on how to configure Microsoft Exchange servers.

.sh files are installs as root with sh <filename>

On the other hand, I am having difficulties configuring my email account on Android.

What is the model of your laptop? The exact model not just "Dell"?

Wouldn't recommend KDE on a netbook....Go with fluxbox ;)
