One step at a time.

If it ain't broke, why fix it?

Any recommendations though?

I'll probably move onto greener pastures after Gutsy, but Ubuntu's working for me

oh right... how do you find Sabayon??? slow bootup?? better than PCLOS?
It's not slow at all, boot-up is pretty good, faster than *buntu but slower than PCLOS. Overall I enjoy it very much because it comes installed with everything you can possibly imagine. It just works.

*except flash in Opera*

Gutsy Gibbon Beta reporting in. Once again blown away by Ubuntu. Started taking my laptop to school in lieu of which suspend to ram suddenly becomes essential. And since it's so insanely broken on linux it's pretty much no use trying to fix it on gentoo, meanwhile the ubuntu people have made this a priority and it works on my laptop.

Gutsy runs perfectly well out of the box, but as always dreading upgrades will break stuff as often.

Also, still no idea what crap like wacom-tools is doing in a standard runlevel on ubuntu.

Lots of lossless music.

Stay away from Gentoo, if you simply can't, just install Sabayon. Don't listen to what Martin says. :D
